Help! I cannot force MSAA or SGSSAA on Mass Effect 3 no matter what I try!

I've recently rebooted ME3 and replaying it but I can't get over how horrible THE MILLION JAGGED LINES are. I found this old post and the image of 4MSAA+4SGSSAA looks amazing. I tried forcing AA through Nvidia Control Panel and it didn't work. I tried Nvidia Inspector with the same settings as in that post and it didn't work. I tried these instructions and these ones too and they didn't work.
I'm stumped! Does anyone have any idea how to get it to work?

Not sure why you would expect a deferred rendered dx11 game to support either.

    DSR or bust.

    ME3 was still UE3 DX9. :)

You likely have to use a 16:9 resolution to make forcing (SGSS)AA work.

    That's what I'm using. I tried both 1920x1080 and 2715x1527
DSR is problematic in ME3 cause it makes the interface very small. Also I like using a reshade and the FPS hit of both that and DSR is too much. LOL

I am not sure about ME3 but there was deferred rendering in DX9. Actually, at the time, I remember DX 10.1 promised to solve the deferred rendering + MSAA problem (look back at the history of Assassin's Creed for example, although DX 10.1 was later removed with a patch and Ubisoft got stuck at DX9 [no less, not even plain DX 10.0 ! for several years and many AC games after that). Later on, I remember attempts involving DX 10.x in conjunction with private APIs (NVAPI or CUDA, AGS, etc) in some RTS game. Then MSAA disappeared completely, not even DX11 or DX12 solved the problem. I guess that's because it became increasingly complicated (even if new APIs would have allowed for easier workarounds, it just didn't worth it because the other side of things got more complicated faster...).

Deferred just makes MSAA more complicated/expensive. But like when HDR lighting was new and they claimed it couldn't be done. (See:Oblivion). It can.

Post a screenshot of your Insepctor settings.
If need be I will download and verify things myself.

If it is dx9; then disable fullscreen optimizations on the exe.

    Right click the exe,
    go to Properties,
and under the Compatibility tab you will find the option to disable fullscreen optimizations
