It's high time manufacturers started using TiB instead. With 10TB, you'd only be getting around 9.1 terabytes so that's almost 1 terabyte less! The gap will only widen in the future with 12TB giving 10.9 terabytes, 24TB giving 18.1 terabytes and 48TB giving 43.7 terabyte. Stop this now before more kittens are lost :bang:
He's got a point though. Down the line there's going to be less knowledgeable customers (you know, those people who know what a "Gigabyte" is somewhat but are by no means technical) ranting and raging about disk space.
