after formatting my PC with Windows 8, the old HDD and DVD-drive disappear from Windows but I can them it inside the bios.

I have SSD installed and put it in AHCI mode.

    what is the main cause?

Can you boot to Windows? If so go to Disk Management and see if it's put as unallocated space. The bios would still see it if this is the case, but windows might not. As for the DVD drive, I am not sure about that. Could it also be your motherboard driver within Windows? Check to make sure that you have the most up to date BIOs and driver.

If it was just the DVD drive, I would have suggested the old upper / lower filters reg trick
