Only problems with: Hd 5970 Help pls Hi, guys i need help of you g33ks Yesterday i buy HD 5970 and i think that somthing doesnt work right becouse i have low FPS at all games. I think that GPU2 doesnt work ok. I made some test but i dont know realy what it mean os if some one can help thx. right ok..... that is strange, you show the core on GPU 2 actually rocked up to full speed for quite some time but GPU 2 activity shows nothing...??? does GPUZ report CFX is enabled..??? is ''A.I.'' ENABLED in CCC..???
AI enabled. If is disabled i get only 160 MAX FPS on FurMark at 1280*1000 AA*0 Only GPU 1 is working. GPU 1 at full load has VDDC 45 GPU 2 has max 11 GPU1 GPU2 You can see that memory and gpu speed doesnt change.
Make sure CCC AI is enabled, GPU-z will report crossfire enabled even with AI disabled, however crossfire simply does not work when AI is disabled.
Standard or Advance? But is normal that i have at Call of Duty 5, only from 100 to 180 FPS? xD With my 8800GTX768 i have 150 FPS

But why GPU 1 is 100% load and GPU2 is comming max too 30%? And this low FPS and FurMark low scores like i have radeon 4870 xD
Bollocks, overclocked it would be no problem. When I upgraded from my E6700 @ 3.6 to Q9659 @ 4.12 I gained 10 fps if even that.
by the looks of it you may have a defective card, but you'll still have a bottleneck with the board & chip, the 2nd core has 0 activity but the core goes to max frequency which tells me its being engaged.... there's gotta be a H/W problem there. RMAing on of these cards right now is a dead cert you wont see another one for months... you could wait for a newer driver, but none of the 5970 problems ive seen match yours.
OK some how now GPU2 working but i have still low FPs at cod5 and cod4 ... And why is VDDCI Phase #1 Temperature 0 C ? GPU1 GPU2 And in FurMark v1.6.5 i have this resoult: Resolution:1280*1024 /MSAA: OFF Time:60s = 60000 FPS min:94 FPS avg:217 FPS max:292 Score:13023 o3marks But FPS is jumping from 100 to 280 and droping down and up again xD Can you see from tis FurMark if graphic work ok?
ive just run furmark at those setting & i was @ 182fps avg, so i'd say its working ok. remember these cards deliver crap performance @ low res, 0AA
surly that's irrelevant..??? the thread is about one of your cores not being active, now if your pulling more AVG fps than me (i know both my cores work), logic dictates both your cores function. if your having problems beyond this (fluctuating fps) then i'd look to your other H/W for the problem.
