    it happens mostly during goal commemorations, anyway i will continue with more testings on this since i'm very disappointed with the results

    here's the same situation with AO off -> http://youtu.be/xf4IN80orhw, so definitively is hbao flickering

    Yes, I know :)
    I wrote that post:

    HBAO+ looks nice with "0x00000026" in Dead Space 2, as long as light quality is reduced.
    The only problem is, that it turns on and off depending on distance and viewing angle quite frequently.
    And of course I tried without forced AA in DS2, but this makes no difference to the AO issues.
    Personally I don't recommend forcing HBAO+ in DS2, and think it should be moved to the "not recommended" list.

    But in general I think we should be careful about adding too many games to the not recommended list.
    For example FIFA 15 (0x00020000) and FEAR (0x00000008) I think we should leave as is.
    Otherwise we are "removing" valuable information IMO.
    Remember, that nobody is forced to use these AO bits, it is just an option ;)

    Yeah definitely don't remove the options, just put in disclaimer information about the artifacts so people can choose well based on their preferences.

    I just tried "0x0000001B" and so far it seems to be wokring alright with just the smoke artifacts and none of the glass ones... Will test some more!

    OMG http://youtu.be/3eO6oMnsy6g
    found an issue with flag "07" for Condemned :/
    it doesn't happen with "2D"...

    only "03", "0A", "18" and "2D" doesn't has this issue, but all of them bleeds through something.

    "2D" has least issues so far but flickers at cutscenes now and bleeds through the hud depending on camera angle. after more testings i dont recommend hbao anymore due to major issues presented by those flags. :thumbdown

    Got any shots of the hud issue? Cutscenes may be livable. I could put up with it with Mafia 2.

    Also that's strange in the video. Never seen anything like that with HBAO+ before. It looks like the AO. Is it really?

    hud is not a big issue since its very small, but it bleeds through pause/objectives menu too

    and yes, that's AO being rendered as i move the camera :kermit:

    I dont' recall the main menus having too much purpose beyond loading screens with information. But it's been a few years since I played it ;:banana:

    From what I understand with this location

    http://i.imgur.com/g8A793b.jpg

    This happens EVEN with SSAO from GeDoSaTo! (I think Durante even added a key shortcut to disable it so people could do it on the fly for this.)

    The in game AO is really bad, does it increase in quality with resolution at all??
    (If it does, some extreme downsampling with GeDo would probably be an ok solution where that is concerned)

    Also, what else does 1F bleed through besides the fog in that one area?

    But really at this point, I don't think anyone at Nvidia seems to be taking driver level HBAO+ seriously. Just a marketing gimmick they can use to sell hardware. Making sure HBAO+ works properly among other things for free doesn't get them any money.

    That, or their software solution for injecting and detecting game rendering set-ups needs some real tuning up!

    *ugh*

    I hate to be cynical , but it feels this way. It's been proven that almost EVERY single official HBAO+ flag has major issues.

    I think we need to compile a list of all the games of every single game that has issues or even doesn't work with it's official flag.

    And then present this to Nvidia. Send it to them in the HBAO+ feedback thread, official twitter, forum moderators, and even if someone goes to an Nvidia event in person, print it (Along with some other documentation based on our experiences here) and give it to them.

    ****, I can only dream right? [IMG]

    With a solid and tested list I think NVidia (via ManuelG) can't dodge the bullet and consider to invest more effort in HBAO+ testing/tweaking ('cause we love it, NVidia!) :p

    GEDO SSAO -> http://i.imgur.com/6mdkcbe.png

    in that area, gedo doesn't bleed like hbao
    gedo ao provides a good effect, isn't 100% bleed-free but is waaaay better than hbao solutions, lots of haloing from gedo ssao too, but IMO is the only viable solution atm

    good news? (doesn't bleed through fog gates :nerd:) -> http://i.imgur.com/r5Uvhki.jpg

    in game AA (very blurry imo, some post AA as usual) must be on, otherwise, hud bleeding -> http://i.imgur.com/dPAIfUR.jpg

    very disappointed with those issues. IMO, the ao applied by "1F" is gorgeous :banana: http://abload.de/img/1fiq8tshc.png

    NO AO 5K GEDO DS-> http://abload.de/img/noao1cszn.png
    INGAME SSAO + 5K GEDO DS-> http://abload.de/img/5kyessr.png
    INGAME SSAO + 1080p NO DS-> http://abload.de/img/1080pvisqj.png

    ingame ssao quality increases with gedo ds, but isn't even close to gedo ssao or hbao quality.
    i think gedo ssao is a real ao solution, but with the last dlc, lots of snow, gedo becomes a serious problem and must be disabled to avoid more bleeding issues.

    NO AO-> http://abload.de/img/aooff6hsuj.png

    Well it turns an innocent looking game into a arthouse looking game, so i depends if the style change works ;)

    I had a quick look at the HBAO+ bits for HL2, the default driver bits seem to work but the effect is very subtle, earlier in this thread the 0x0000002D bits were suggested & these seem to apply a much more noticeable effect.

    No AO

    HBAO+ killed the performance in TitanFall, is there any comparison between AO enabled and AO disabled ?

    What a strange question.
    If you own the game, then why not make screenshot comparisons yourself and post them? :3eyes:
