DSR is nice to have though. Because it stacks with everything.
I think IMGUR is doing more damage than SGSSAA in your shots.
Also: It does look like the AO isn't meshing with the fog really well. To the point, where a gamma decrease to crush it more would look better it seems. Would you mind testing this some more and take a few more shots?
there's an issue with the "0x00000018" flag for Dark Souls :/

i tested other flags and "32" is more subtle and do not produces that heavy bleeding
but at outdoors it makes almost no improvement on IQ
after more testing "31" is a mid-term, produces less bleeding than "18", and is stronger than "32". i will make a proper comparison tomorrow.
I find it really hard to see most of the detail in that picture, the ground is practically invisible to me. But i can see what you are talking about in the curvature of the walls.
I do own the Definitive Edition, and apparently the Devs are looking into adding more options to turn off specific things.
So there may yet be hope. I will add it for the OG version though
So, does 30 have the least issues then?
Eh, that doesn't look too bad. Unless you can find an extremely severe case. My recommendation for 18 remains, but if another flag provides a decent alternative, I don't mind listing both
Technically speaking, anyone can explain me how comp. bits work in the rendering pipeline?
Just my curiosity.

so its up to you bonk, 32 is very subtle compared to other solutions, and 31 produces almost the same effect, tested all of these flags and none of them bleeded through the fog gates, only difference is in the strength of the effect, atm 31 is being sufficient for me.
Yeah it doesn't look too bad, but I will add other as alternative
Actually, after looking at this again, both flags do produce a very subtle issue if you know what to look for. Though, post downsampling, I doubt it would be noticeable.
I wonder if the AO methods from DFix would have this issue too?
(Would you mind taking a shot of the same spot with VSSAO2 ? I'm curious)
Better off not pointing it out. But i'd like to see
i'll check that
here's the VSSAO2 in action -> http://i.minus.com/ibk3PbexpyuKjg.jpg
Hm. Don't see it.
Fallout new vegas does not seem to work with hbao+ once you install new vegas script extender, and new vegas stutter remover. At least the supplied flag does not. Not having a lot of luck with other flags as well.
Vanilla new vegas is kind of poor. I'd rather no hbao+ than vanilla.
Sounds like a conflict from those mods. You can see in the reference that he's using quite a few different mods and it works with those fine.
Hmm, are you using this mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35262/?
In that case you need to add "fnv4gb.exe" to your driver profile: http://abload.de/image.php?img=fonv_inspector76zrx.png
"0x00000005" works perfect for me with 344.11 WHQL and the settings/mods mentioned in this post:

Huge thanks to Pedigrew who discovered this!
The in game SSAO is ok, but HBAO+ is a lot better in motion and doesn't have flickering issues, clouding or haloing like the in game AO does.
Disable in game AO via "post process=Off" in the video settings.
Strangely enough this toggle only seems to affect AO. So it's safe to disable! (Which also means from my original posts about the game, you CAN use other forced forms of AA since disabling the AO prevents the issue with AO and those methods in the first place!)
And what you can't see in these shots, is that in motion around Mickey and certain moving objects there is visible haloing that doesn't show up in shots.
Personal note: If you can do 1.5x1.5 DSR with 4xSGSSAA and HBAO+ at 60FPS, Holy **** does it look GOOD.
No AO | 1 2 3 4
In game AO | 1 2 3 4
HBAO+ | 1 2 3 4
I found a flag for Castlevania Mirror of Fate, but I also ended up testing out the AA information from the person who posted it. No microstuttering here, but an irritating revelation no matter what flag you use.
But I came up with a crazy ass solution that mitigates it as much as possible to the point of being unnoticeable
AND works with HBAO+ in conjunction
**** yes i fixed it. Only took like what, 6+ hours?
God damn that was sldfkjsldfjlsdf :chainsaw2:
