    Yeah, Bulletstorm has issues with Fog, you are close to finding a working flag. Try 0x00000030 or 0x00000021 instead with BS and ME and see how they work.

    I was gonna say 2F looked fine for ME, and that it's issues generally depend on the game. But the second set of shots show that it does AO around parts of the distance skybox. Which is just 2D textures with transparency.

    But to be honest, it doesn't look *THAT* bad compared to Bulletstorm.

    Still, ideally should try some other flags

    People who have tested the current flag for ME2 say it's without major issue. You are right that you can't get a perfect result though.

    But fogging isn't really an acceptable solution either. It somewhat defeats the point

    MrBonk, you can add Lost Planet 2 to the List of Games not recommended to use HBAO+ With, or is currently impossible to do so.
    Today I tried literally all AO flags in the driver, both in DX11 and DX9 mode.

    In DX11, "0x000A0000" increased VRAM usage and decreased both GPU usage and performance, without making any visual difference ingame.

    In DX9, the problem wasn't finding a working HBAO+ flag.
    Several flags can be used to apply an AO effect in LP2, including "0x0000002F", 0x0000000F", "0x0000000E", "0x00000026" and a few others.
    The problem is that all of these cause rather severe fogging issues.
    I also discovered, that "0x00000024", "0x00000027" and "0x00000002" increased GPU usage significantly in LP2 DX9, unfortunately without applying any AO effect.

    Thanks GKnight.

    Also, about TSEO, you'd have to make sure you are using flags that include the 4th bit for compatibility with DX10+. Or run the game in DX9 mode first and then test flags

    General Information: Nothing to report other than i'm surprised it even worked lol. 13 also works, and is much stronger, but has some very rare circumstances where it will bleed through a few things, but it's so quick that you barely even notice. I honestly prefer 13 over 12 in this specific game because it's so simplistic, graphically.

    In my opinion is all this "requesting" AO flags getting completely out of hand.
    How about actually doing some work for yourselves, then write a small AO report with screenshots included and post the FINAL result here in the HBAO+ thread?
    If everybody just requests and nobody actually contributes/creates anything, this thread is surely going to die out, which would be such a shame.
    And NO, contributing doesn't mean trying 3-5 different AO flags in Inspector and then giving up :bang:

    As already stated on page 1, try AO profiles of the form "0x000X0000" for DX10/11 and "0x000000YZ" for DX9 mode:

    X=(1,2,...9,A,B,...F)
    Y=(0,1,2,3)
    Z=(1,2,...9,A,B,...F)

    Alternatively I recommend studying the AO bit value editor in NVIDIA Inspector to figure out what each individual AO bit is doing, and which of these may affect your game of interest ;)

    there is no need for these formulas i think there is a few games worth our efforts to find flag for them and if there were for example 1000 games a formula were needed

    It is not really a formula :)
    I am just trying to demonstrate the difference between a DX10/11 HBAO+ flag and one for DX9.
    Personally I only use the advanced bit value editor in NVIDIA Inspector to find AA, AO and SLI profiles.

    General Information: This is the only UE3 game flag that works, and also doesn't flicker on and off. It also isn't as overblown as 2F usually is.

    Make sure you edit the "AlienBreedEp1Engine.ini" and set "Ambient occlusion=False" to disable the in game SSAO

    In the character select screen, it's applied a little strong, but in game it's pretty much perfect-O
    It doesn't look like there's a lot at just the race starts. But it's there trust me. Especially with the track fly by before you start the race.

    Nice job with Sonic Transformed MrBonk :)
    But I do find it a little strange why you would make so many screenshot comparisons, and none of them with forced SGSSAA or OGSSAA?
    Testing without forced AA is fine, but taking screenshot comparisons without any AA is probably not a good idea, since the nice HBAO+ can easily be overlooked due to all the aliasing ;)

    I also have a few minor corrections to the excellent and thankfully ever-growing HBAO list.
    The reference for "Aliens: Colonial Marines" should point directly to this link:
    http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=10187423&postcount=77

    It is much "neater" that way, and the HBAO+ list appears more professional like this IMO.
    Having links to other links is always a bit silly, if it can be avoided.

    Furthermore, it would be great if you could make proper references with screenshots for some of the remaining "major" titles appearing in the list, like "Arcania" and "Lords of Shadow 2" :)
    I'd imagine especially Arcania is one of those games, that really benefits from HBAO+ due to all the trees and vegetation.
    Unfortunately I don't own either Arcania or LoS 1 & 2, so can't do it myself.
    If someone else wants to do this, that is also fine.

    Finally I think only "0x00000009" should appear in the list for Gothic 3.
    "0x00000028" works OK, and causes no fogging or other issues.
    But as I already mentioned, it creates a lot of additional temporal aliasing especially on grass.
    This is very apparent in motion compared to "0x00000009", even with 8xSGSSAA forced.

    I find it easier to focus on HBAO+ and the general performance hit without AA added. I do test with AA enabled. But for the sake of seeing the differences in an image with lots of high frequency content (IE: Aliasing) I find it easier for comparison for me personally.

    I probably still have the screenshots for ArcaniA, but since my flag for LOS2 was shown to have issues I don't have any images for the new flag that someone tested and I thought had posted shots for.
