MSI AB 2.1.0 beta1
ram: 1Ghz @ 8-9-8-20-88
Win 7 64
Edit: tesselation OFF:
Now i understand why most reviewers have refuse to use it even if Nvidia have ask them to do it on the 68xx reviews ....... cfx is working on it ... a 5870 don't even pass a GT450 in this bench..
Not like the game needs much to run anyway.
Looks like an AMD driver issue to me, as tessellation causes a very small hit to the framerate, so its not that.
I get only about 63 fps with my GTX295, so SLI isnt enable, someone knows how to enable?
No wonder, it's an nvidia demo actually. It is not a matter of dx11 or tess, the overall performance sucks in comparison with a GTX 480. 2x5870 in dx9 and dx11 will have to average above 200 with 1920x1200 everything on high. Anyway I hope HAWX2 will not be as boring as HAWX.
Here are my results.
Wonder what part is causing such a huge difference between AMD and Nvidia hardware.
Anyone with an AMD card want to try some settings on and off to see which one it is, its not tessellation as AMD said, DOF or particles are the usual offenders, maybe some hidden Cuda acceleration going on with the particles, but i don't want to start off some new conspiracy theories lol.
For some reason it does not appear that sli is working. AB only shows gpu usage on one card.
I ran a few DX 11 test using single card and crossfire with my 5770 cards. Catalyst version 10.9 installed. Here are the results:
Single card test
I got to be honest, running those test, and also running the test in DX9, I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference in visual quality. Nothing that just popped out as a real improvement anyway. Visually over all just meh to me, regardless. I may come back later down the road to test more when I try a newer Catalyst release.
MAX 200 FPS
AVG 74 FPS
9800GX2 Black Edition (still good )
AMD Athlon II (yes, dual core)
I have try different thing, but you can't use the settings in game only, i will need play with the registry ... ( lack of particular settings, as DOF etc. )
Had a go and got this
@Seero. you oc that 470 btw?
Here is another run. Like I said before in my last post, for some reason sli was not working. Now it is.
24/7 settings-DX11 2560x1600 & 1920x1200
This test is f****d up.
8xAA gave me better fps than 2xAA. In DX9.
But in DX11 it's OK.
