I seem to be having the same problem as a lot of people with their 6800gt. When I overclock it pretty high, say 430/1.14 .. coolbits will allow it.. but when I get into games, probably about 2-3 minutes into the game my screen will pause for a good 5-10 seconds then kicks back in... but it will be a lot slower like some safety thing takes over and bumps the clock speed down. This will also happen in 3dmark 03 .. I'll be cruising along, monitoring the fps.. then I'll get to some point in the test where it will freeze then come back.. but my fps will jump down and lowers my score by a few thousand points. I'm running a eVGA 6800 GT with 1.4v bios mod, NV5 Artic cooler (48c idle - 58c load) -- Fast Writes ( off ) I can run stable @ 420/1.12 but bumping the core to 425 will introduce the pause and slow down effect. I am considering maybe trying to flash to an Ultra bios to see if it might fix this problem... anyone else have a solution that worked for them.?
