Hi All,

I'm having a hard time installing the newer versions of the nvidia drivers. The highest version that i can get to install successfully is 6.18. When I try to install 6.50, 7.x or 12.40, upon re-boot the system complains that the driver is not working properly (and defaults to the icky low-res windows graphics driver).

I'd just use the old version, but the card sometimes malfunctions with the old drivers (random horizontal interference lines start to appear, then colors go bezerk, and finally it's hard to see anything at all; for some reason, when I <alt>+<tab> from the 3d program to the windows desktop and back again, the problems are temorarily fixed, but then reappear a few minutes later).

My system: TNT 2 m 64, VIA GA-6VXE7+ mb, p3-800 processor, Win ME

Grateful for any suggestions!
Thanks,
EF.

Hello fellow britton! I don't know too much about NVIDIA I'm an ATI man u see but all I can think of is maybe you have to unistall your old drivers first, boot up with your normal 640x480 16 colour screen and then install the new drivers. But on another note aru you sure that the card is working correctly, and are the new drivers beta versions? I'm sure someone will have an answer for you soon
