So I use Chrome and like many had to disable hardware acceleration or Chrome would crash.

Today I decided to reinstall Windows 10. Install drivers through Device Manager as I don't like all the extra software, pointed to GPU drivers and installed (20.1.4), I was about to install the AMD audio driver through device manager, the one that comes with Windows 10 is from 2017, I decided I'll keep the stock driver.

Chrome is running fine with HW on now.

Can't say if its the audio drivers doing it, but if you have this problem, maybe remove the AMD audio driver and let Windows 10 install the default (stock) one.

Or maybe its just the fresh Windows install.

    Something to try.

If Chrome f's up I let you know.

the more likely cause is a difference in the windows power management profiles
