Told him he lucky he in the beta testing at all, told him stop posting at Reddit because AMD is mostly in the AMD forum. friend inform me he requested AMD driver team to add triple buffering in vsync setting which is a plus.

tell him to request a "prefer maximum performance" option as well, like Nvidia has in their driver. So we can force higher clockspeeds rather than having our gpus clock down all the time to save power and it saves up having to set a minimum clockspeed in the overclock settings.

This one feature is literally the only thing I really want AMD to implement.

How would it work? Similar to Windows power options and adjusting the PCI power settings?

Doesn't Performance Tuning and setting MIN/Max frequency or option 2 using Radeon Chill to set min/max FPS to be the same do the same job?

Both have finer control I would imagine.

I wish AMD could implement reshade in their drivers like what nvidia did with freestyle.

It's funny. A million years ago now, they had custom shaders effects in the Catalyst drivers. They where called custom "Smart Shaders" and allowed for community created content. I'd love to see the feature return.

I would like to see a new driver with all these missing settings for a loooong time:

    cat10.12_ccc2_10[1].jpg

Why the new "powerful" graphics cards don't have such features? I miss "AMD Fluid Motion Video" too.

I don't need such "important" features as Facebook, Tweeter, etc. in the drivers.

pretty sure fluid motion was only for MPEG2 decoding,

most of those settings are DVD related, and replicated internally by most dvd software players.

You are wrong! I used to use it to play ANY videos with my 290X card (including h264 and h265). It just interpolates frames regardless of the type of compression. I used it with PotPlayer + Bluesky Frame Rate Converter.

    Now with my "powerful" 6800XT I can't! :(

My only suggestion is to bring it up on their reddit to see if they respond.

its also possible the new VPU isn't able to do it, historically AMD have used OpenCL decoders for this stuff which might make all the differece.
