It sure is one of the best games to come out in years! I love everything about it and can’t get the sound track out of my head for a week now. On my 20th run at the moment. Came close to beating Dad last time, but he’s kinda of a bastard..
Heard some good things about it. Worth a try.
I really like the art style, but I dislike roguelikes, so I'll pass.
I'm sure it's a great game but does anyone really pay attention to Metacritic?
Wondering the same cos I’m sure not..the whole system is just crap and all those 100 ratings...?! Yeah...really transparent.
Magazines give 100/100 there but on their sites it’s not 100/100. So wth?!
You're a chicken.
Srsly dont be afraid. It's not really roguelike. More like roguelite, like Diablo.
Use of controller/gamepad recommended.
Oh most definitely. Although that was an excuse for me to post. I linked first article that mentioned GOTY cos I feel it is!
I mean Diablo is an arpg through and through, It has almost zero roguelike elements.
I agree I love Hades, But its a definite roguelike. Thats the reason why I like and my brother don't, I love RL games and he hates them the RL elements in Hades completely turn him off the game.
ive seen quite a lot of gameplay from streams and it really doesn't appeal to me either, its just aint my kinda game bruh
Thats fine brah
It has story. Very decent story with great dialogues and many nice characters.
Great setting. Greek gods, Titans etc.
Great voice acting. Phenomenal audio tracks.
Runs great. Superb UI. Very polished feel overall.
Then there is both randomness and repetitiveness to it. And experimentations with all kinds of different combinations. Combining different weapons with different abilities.
And then when it comes to difficulty, Hades redefines the meaning of Difficulty Setting making it a part of the game.
I'll see when it's cheaper. There are other games I'd rather play, then experiment with a genre I usually dislike.
Never understood what Roguelike actually means exept a game features controlled randomness. Why not just say it's a game with randomness?
There is 10,000 word article on Wikipedia trying to nail the meaning of roguelike.
If turn-based gameplay, tile-based graphics, and permanent death means roguelike then Hades is not roguelike, is why I said rogue-lite.
But tbh it's too much fun to care what genre it is.
Because that would be too random?
So basically the author has no idea either...
just got it, gonna see how good it is.
ok, it's very well done, gameplay is fast paced and it's got lots of abilities you can become godlike. this game is a must buy if you like this type of game.
Ok, gave the game a chance and i like it. usually not my type of game, hehe.
Can someone tell me, what the "hearts" are suppose to mean if you gift one a 2nd, 3rd time? If you press LB on those characters, you can see the gift icon, and then one or two hearts if you gifted them 2 or 3 times. You see a +1 heart/health? popping up when gifted but i still didnt figure out what exactly happened.
Edit: Nvm, its for quests.
