    hey guys, newbie here xD

OK here's the deal, i built a rig a few weeks ago, specs are in the info panel.
the thing is i ditched my Sound card for the 7.1 channel audio i had on the MOBO. I have the Genius 5.1 SRS speakers and they worked well for a few days, but i re-installed my OS and installed the drivers and everything, selected 5.1 channel sound in the control panel of Vista and the configuration app that came with it, but only two speakers are working, i haven't tampered with anything and the connections are right so I'm kinda confused as i cant do without base, COD4 is not the same without loudness lol

anyways i installed XP SP3 along with Vista and its the same prob :(
    any suggestions please?

Could be internal error-try to disable & then enable the onboard audio codec through the bios and then install the latest driver/soft for the onboard codec and then see what happens.
Just try reseting it and good luck.

Make sure you installed the lastest sound drivers from your motherboard manufacture, might want to flash the lastest BIOs as well.
You can download them from the ASUS site.
