    November update:

Results are notably worse in CDM this month. In AS SSD Benchmark the numbers are roughly the same for once. This is with using less space than last month.

November Update - in a New Machine.

I no longer had a need for my Sager laptop, so I sold it and built another desktop to take it's place. It's a system based on an i7 6700K, ASRock Z170 PRO4S, 16 GB DDR4 2133, XFX RX 480 8GB, Corsair CX650M, Lian Li mid tower, this OCX Vertex 460A SSD, and Windows 10. I've had the system up and running for ~10 days now and it's been great. I will be using this in the same manner and for roughly the same amount of hours each day as the Sager laptop was (this is for gaming at 1080p and is different then the rig in my sig).

My first official benchmarks were great, perhaps a tiny bit faster (on 4K tests in particular) due to the newer chipset when compared to the Sager with it's i7 4790K setup.

    November 2016 update.

All is good, however I did the tests this time around without a fresh reboot and as you can see the benchmarks are quite a bit lower this way (the SSD being an OS drive still), but, as said, other than that, I'm still pleased with it. :)

Will be updating tomorrow, apologies for it being a tad late but I had some unexpected issues to deal with.

    November update:

First of all sorry for being late. RL, job... Ya know, the usual excuses.

I am throwing in results from the brand new Seagate Backup Plus Hub 4TB on USB 3.0.

The thing has its own power supply, which is aesthetically and ergonomically unpleasing,
but the upshot is that you get to select 'Turn off Windows write-cache buffer before flushing on the device', which in turn allows you to use "Safely remove hardware" to unmount this USB 3.0 disk.
Else I can't eject it with write-caching enabled (increases sequential performance from 60-70MB/s to 170-200MB/s)

Any variations in results are no different than those I've reported repeatedly in the past. So nothing noteworthy, everything is as expected.

    December 2016 update.

All is good, heck the results in AS SSD were actually the second best I ever got (highest was 1060 after fresh OS install) for some reason. Still OS + 2-3 of the more demanding games on the drive.

    January update:

The only thing noteworthy is that "Lifetime Remaining" has dropped to 98%. Not that it means anything, it's almost been 2 years I believe. January makes 22 months of reports.

January 2017 Update. It hardly seems like we are closing in on 2 full years of testing already. I guess it must be true that time flies as you get older. :nerd: All has been excellent here, no issues or problems to report.

    January 2017 update.

Smooth sailing, can't believe it's almost 2 years since we started this test. My SSD is still OS + some demanding games and it's running just as fine as day 1. One thing to notice is that my lifetime dropped to 97, but considering the usage that's likely to be expected.
