After reading the Kotaku piece about the invisible walls I'm a bit disappointed cause I love jumping around rooftops and so on

 

This is game seems more and more epic, especially the WvWvW part. Arenanet is about to outdo itself and others lol

 

They're not the first to do something like this. Atlantica Online has a Spelltower wars where the best 50 of each server battle for control over 1 of 3 towers. With 7 servers, it's quite a battle.

 

Are there any human "MALE warrior" video's? I haven't seen any of that at all.

New article on Arenanet's blog: Beta Development Update, about the changes included in the media CBT build.

 

In that article, the author was only referring to the areas surrounding the "Great Collapse" which is a giant chasm that apparently is supposed to be virtually bottomless. As far as I know, there are only a few areas in the game with this limitation. Generally, most of the world is accessible, including the rooftops, etc. Either way, GW2 is much improved in this regard compared to the original game which suffered greatly with invisible walls and not being able to jump.

I signed up too, but I don't have my confirmation mail yet. When I try to get a new confirmation email, it says the email adress was never registered, and when I try to sign up again with the same email adress, it says it's already registered. WTF???

And yes, I triple-checked if I typed the exact same email adress...
Anybody else got this problem too?

Anyone managed to get some information anywhere on performance with what hardware while in open world/dungeons?

 

LAWL, they just removed the option to resend your email verification. I guess they were being flooded with those xD

Question: did any of the people who got the verification mail UNCHECK the box with the request for news, updates, etc?

I signed up again with another email and deliberately did not uncheck that box and now I did get my verification mail. If that's really what caused this, it's a REALLY embarrassing mistake of ArenaNet to let you apply for a beta with an option that prevents you from getting the verification email xD

So did anybody get the verification with the box unchecked?

 

I unchecked the box for news etc. got my "thanks for signing up for GW2 beta" email 5 minutes after signing up.

 

I guess that wasn't the cause then. Oh well, I got signed up so all is well in the world again
...as long as I may participate of course
