No matter what I do, CTR crashes during diagnostic and tuning. if I'm lucky I reach pass 4. when it boots back up it ends up saying the file is corrupted so I have to start over, which just leads to more crashing.

    I have some questions:

    1. CTR, apply its profile in the bios automatically and permanently or do you have to start it every time the operating system starts?

    2. I use SMT off (ryzen stock) because I have higher fps and lower latency in game. should i test CTR with SMT on?

In my case CTR works flawlessly. I've tried Hydra (not stable and lower performance than CTR), and also Curve Optimizer on latest Ryzen Master, but it sets a delta of -30 on all or individual cores modes. I didn't much testing, but it seemed stable, and got stellar scores on the CPU-Z benchmarks, but lower values on CB20 and CB23. When tried lo limit the max voltage on Ryzen Master at the same level of CTR (1.375v) all benchmarks were much lower, so I'm still running the good "old" CTR 2.1 RC5.

    1. You should start CTR on every boot, but this obviously can be set on the program.
    2. I can't say anything because I don't play, but I would try with SMT on.

    Hello,

Do you know why mine isn't launching at startup every time ? Sometimes it works, sometimes no. And when no, I need to check again "Autoload profiles" and "CTR Hybrid OC" again to activate PX Profiles.

Does anyone know why I can't use any CRT 2.1 options they appear blocked and the following appears in the log files?:

    This processor is not supported!

Is your 5800X a newer B2 stepping model? CTR doesn't work on the newer versions of these chips. I tried running it with my 5900X and encountered similar errors, I later learned that CTR doesn't work with B2 model CPUs.

I guess it's version B2 from what I can see in cpu-z. So I will use ryzen master instead of CRT until they figure out how to make it work on these processors.
Thank you very much Truder for explaining it to me.

You can try Hydra, the successor of CTR, but on my experience CTR is the best performer and totally stable, unlike Hydra...

Hey! I am new to CTR but I have a Ryzen 7 5700X and it isnt supported... is there any time in the future that the R7 5700X would be supported?

    Thanks!

CTR is dead, you should look Project Hydra from the same developer for support on your processor.

was thinking of renewing my whole system, do you guys think ctr is still a must have for ryzen cpu's or should i just use the settings inside of my bios?

I'm nowhere near an OC expert, but I've tried with the BIOS settings, playing with the CO values and also loading those obtained by CTR, and the results were not even close to those what I get with CTR, and most important, absolutely stable.

Anyone else who have problems running CTR on a B2 stepping CPU?

It will not run on mine 5950X B2 stepping CPU, running latest BIOS on ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero with 16GB FlareX 3200mhz CL14

Edit: Seems to be the same for everyone else with B2 stepping CPU's :(

Me thinks that Ryzen Master with its curve optimizer tool and the +200MHz boost override would be more than ok since CTR isn't working properly. Just saying...

    Hi everybody

I hope this community help me with CTR. I have builded a new pc like backup the main device. The backup machine have:

    CPU Ryzen 7 5700x
Motherboard Asus Prime B550 Plus whit last bios version (3002)
    Memory GSkil Trident neo Z 16GB (2x8) 3600 cl16
OS Windows 10 22H2 (update whit the last update published on 23/05/2023).

    The problem is the following.
I'm try to start CTR 2.1 RC6 25 but the program won't start. When 'm click on the .exe file to try start the program like user & like administrator the windows circle ring start too like if wait starting the program but ctr won't start. On the screen It does not appearany message or any warning. I'm search on the net if someone have the same issue lik me but not find people who have like me. Someone here is able to help me? Many thank for any suggestion. (i have hydra also but before i want to try ctr)
