My GPu is running extremly warm when playing this game i have the 185.85 drivers and running windows 7 http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/5993/remnant.jpg woulda run warmer but i stopped it there
I don't think that temp is unheard of, mine can get up there too. Have you tried increasing the fan speed? You can use various utilities (like rivatuner for instance, is what I use) to have the fan speed up as the card warms up. More info would be helpful.
the higher temp my gpu gets the faster the fan goes i tried using ntune, but for some reason i get a bluescreen when i try to get into the performace settings i tried running lotro now and it seems to go up to 80 atleast..might be the driver or something.. or maybe windows 7 gonna try and install an older driver, any that works good with win 7?
Go into the sub hardware contorl level menu, or whatever the hell it's called in riva tuner, and just manually turn it to 100% and keep it there. You just have to do that with some games, as they run this beast of a card ****in HOT. An example would be... Dawn of War II. It runs it ****in hot as ****! As hot as Crysis! Meanwhile RA3... Not so much the heat producer, yet still strainfull on the card.
meh to reinstall vista and check if its win 7 or not... think its worth installing the 185.85 for vista? should be same as win 7 no?
ur temps for the GTX 295 are pretty normal for me the card usually goes 90C++ mine is usually like urs around 84-86C - nothin to worry about. as the other said, use Rivatuner to cranck up the fan in 3D Mode only. the 185.85 were horrible for me. i reverbed back to an older driver.
hmm my GTX 280 runs at 35C in games it gets around 50C But usually when they get around 80C i instantly mod the cards in a way that they wont run that hot but so far have not had to for this gtx 280 But supposedly that temp is fine....
thing is the pcb gets really hot! like it burns to touch it also the fan is really loud when the card gets that warm but if you say its ok, i guess ill kep on going , also the gt300 is near so think i can hold on until then hehe
yes i know, when playing crysis my PC feels like a hoover / vacuum machine yep cant wait for the GT300, ill sell my card 1 month before the release
