Wow really? It actually tries to install 352.84 even though it's clearly not supported? Damn. And we can't force hide the update either (well you can with powershell but you gotta be damn quick about it and it's almost impossible to pull off).

Which is why DDU temporarily disables it after you perform a clean sweep.

This feature allows you to reboot and carry out your new driver installation without worrying about Windows Update getting in the way.

Yeah, just saying you have to leave it disabled.

That's not an excuse for hardware vendors to be lazy with driver support. This mentality will result in another Vista era cluster **** with drivers.

    No, it won't.
Vista was an entirely new architecture, which is why drivers support was patchy. The same thing happened when 95 came out and again when XP came out. Hence why drivers often support just XP or Vista/7/8.
10 just an iteration of the most recent architecture so any previous drivers will probably work fine.

It looks like there's a working Win10 driver for the 980Ti, Tom Peterson was using it during the PCPer live stream. Guess we'll see it next week if all the kinks are sorted.

There's also a pretty cool DX12 Mech demo shown for those interested.

There is a rumor there will be a new driver for Windows 10 this coming week so we'll see but right now I've reverted back to Windows 8.1
