    @fantaskarsef he meant me LOL.

    Ragingun was kind enough to send me his two great 970 GTX Gigabyte G1 cards for my 980 GTX card so he could have some fun with his new gear.

    @Ragingun
    LOL I knew you could overclock that CPU a little more.

    Well so far the 970 GTX Gigabyte G1 cards are good overclockers but I have not found the best overclocks yet.
    As of today stable overclocks in games with original BIOS.Which is very nice BTW.
    1543 Core
    7800 Memory

    For some strange reason I must have deleted or did not run some Firestrike with 980SLI/R9 290X Crossfire but I have found other runs.
    Looks like in synthetic benchmarks 970 GTX Gigabyte G1 hold there own on the same system tested with the cards below.

    For me to get to 20K on the 970 cards with 3770K CPU not going to happen.
    Probably going to sell the 970 cards and go back to AMD R9 290X crossfire.

    EG:

    R9 290 Crossfire run.

    Those cards are awesome. Do you like the R9 cards better? Otherwise why are you selling?

    I didn't look at your CPU and you're right, that's what'll hold ya back from 20k.

    I was able to push an extra 100mhz on the turbo clock only putting it to 4.7ghz, going to 4.8ghz my system crashed once. The best turbo clock the 980's can do with the NOLIMITS bios running 1.275v is 1520mhz.

    Do you spend most of your time playing 3dmark? I'm not understanding why you'd sell cards that perform about the same, require less power and generate less heat.

    OH The 970 cards are great,and they overclock like crazy.
    I just like AMD crossfire better than SLI. I have been SLI/crossfire since I can remember.
    I may wait until the new AMD card is out,before I go back to AMD.

    Well 1520 SLI on 980 GTX reference cards are good.
    Your overclock is a little better than average on that CPU and you have a great gaming system that millions of people would love to have.

    Well if your talking to me,I guess you did not read my post.
    I like doing the odd benchmark,but I truly enjoy playing games with different graphics cards and sometimes I may buy and sell 5-10 of the same card because I can.It is a past time/hobby for me,I am just glad I do not like cars.

    My SLI reference gtx 980's are boosting to 1507mhz without any change to voltage. That;s 242+ on core and also 300+ on mem.

    My question is this.
    Am I safe to run these cards at this all the time as I haven't increased voltage and the cards hit a max temp of around 72c?

    I read on a a tech site that better overclocks are attained by not altering the vcore as this mean the cards won't hit the max power limit or pdt I think the term was.

    Some benches like Unigine Valley and 3dmark Vantage on the normal preset are not worth running due to the huge CPU bottleneck.:)

    I'm tempted to get one in a few weeks, i can do firestrike regular and get 12.5k gpu score, when you guys with a single card are hitting 16k.
    don't get me wrong i don't need the power currently, would be more comfortable with gta5 from the get go with single card set-up that could manage it. i wouldn't get an uber one though, maybe a super jetstream.
