You figured any way to stop the audio lag/stutter? It doesn't happen to often but it sure is annoying during convos

What's about the maximum temperature for the 4 mem modules on the back? I reached 66c during FireStrike and I don't like blowing up my card :D (not yet :D)

I'm so glad to finally say I can post in this thread again.

The cheque for my faulty MSI 970 GE cleared and I recieved my ASUS Strix OC today.
Hopefully will be less problematic than the MSI !
Can't wait to put her through her paces :)

I've only managed to overclock my Gigabyte G1 Gaming's VRAM clock to +300 offset (NVIDIA Inspector says the current clock is 3802 MHz) before it starts showing visual artifacts, whereas most people I see (and review sites) manage +500. Any tips, or is my card just bad?

To be fair, core clock offset is +160, yielding 1540 MHz, which is above the expected offset of +150. So only the VRAM seems bad.

I get the same with mine. I can't actually even get them to 300 without bumping the voltage, so consider yourself lucky haha.

I can't get mine up to 1500 without bumping voltage either. My cards are definitely not the best, but I don't really wish to overclock them too much anyway.. find that they are strong enough in SLI.

NVIDIA driver stopped responding suddenly while playing Shadow of Mordor so I notched both values down by 10 :/ At least the core clock is still just as expected. Here's hoping it stops crashing now.

There is issue with overclocking, it could work awsome for 3-5 hrs or even less, but then even when it stays at this clock the performance goes down by 90%, for instant I'm getting 45 FPS full on unigen on the 10 sec, but after the issue occur I'm getting 11 fps, restarting computer fix the problem with the overclock but happens again.

I tried 1340-1440 mhz including the boost.

Movies too, it says it uses 95% Gpu usage instead 30% . Is it throttle ? Temperatures are fine. I only overclock the GPU Clock and it still happened, so this is the cause.

Can't figure if it's the GPU Voltage that needs to be upped, I left it on default. Power default 100% too, I tried 120% but nothing changed.

Which card are you upgrading from? ATI Radeon HD 7850
Which card are you upgrading to? EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0
Why did you choose the card you did? Superior bang for your buck videocard currently in the market

Almost out-of-stock in most online retailers and if it is available, the price is way jacked up from its MSRP. Luckily the local Fry's here had the superclocked ACX edition in-stock but there were only 5 left.

    58.1
    Score:
    1462
    Min FPS:
    25.6

Lower your memory overclock. That's probably GDDR5 error correction kicking in.

I can't see how people overclock 500mhz on the ram then... how the hell. they usually don't do unigine test so we can see the improve. I don't , it's funny how a lot people always can do more. I did only 200 mhz on the ram, I can't even do 100mhz on the memory. the and GPU voltage is must, there is no way you can do 200 mhz without more voltage. As long I gave voltage I didn't have slow mo after couple of hours, it just lower the FPS to crawl 11 fps instead 45. In crysis 3 I had 15 FPS instead 60+.

    Even movies were slow.

Quite pleased with this card now after a clean install of windows,
Pushed the core clock to 1557mhz in this test, room for more i think :)

just tried with 344.80 drivers (meant for 980, bit told help with 970) but comes up as if both cards are using different drivers, which can't be true, can it?

here are the new default clocks and then max overclock

overclock gives me 13% higher score

Looks like these 970's kick ass in SLI, some nice scores on here, might have to get another card :)

Just put extra 3mhz on the core (1560mhz) and got an extra 2fps average.
This one is clocking like a beast!

In the Uk your 780 launched at around £549
My last card was a 680 at around £400
    So a 970 at £250 i'd say pretty special !

indeed, it makes the 970 sli far better than a single 780, which is why I bought two ;)

I can score 62 at default clock on my 970 with sli disabled and 72fps (2993) at overclock to

however if one already has a 780 then best upgrade would be to buy another now that the prices are dropping but for people that want to upgrade from something lower than the 780, then the 970 is an awesome card for the price :)
