Nice build. man :) those firestrike scores(sli) are a bit low as somebody Else Said. I get exakt 17400 om the same test with my two g1 gaming. I Hope this is a driver bug.

I got MSI in the end. Was deciding between MSI and Gigabyte, but gigabyte might be a little too long!

You got a small case or you just didn't want a long card ?

NICE! Welcome to the club mate :) You'll love the upgrade, it's so much more powerful and the TF5 is lightyears ahead of TF3, trust me.

That Antec case isn't exactly massive, and I'm pretty sure peeps in the past had to cut out the HDD bays to accommodate long cards. I'm pretty sure a G1 would fit in his case though. But, why take the risk when the MSI Gaming is a great alternative, right?

Yeah, the MSI is a really good choice and i'm considering getting one as soon as they arrive here in Greece.

Looks like drivers are a bit young indeed. Still, I've seen better with hardware similar to yours, at least enough to bother you with that :p
Are you using 344.16 or 344.11 drivers ? The .11 ones supposedly are having an issue with 970s.

Also I'm running a SB CPU too so I'm in the same boat with x8/x8, it has to be something else. Your others scores are looking closer to what you should get (except for the CPU, on the low side with 3DM11 too if HT is enabled - ignore if it's disabled).

I'm always trying to make sure everything's ok when I get new hardware and benchmarks are a good way to know.. At least when drivers are working as they should :D I hope that's just that in your case.

Oh and.. Have fun with your babies !
I'm tempted to get some Maxwell goodness too :p

EDIT : I just noticed that Hilbert got some low scores too during 970 SLi testing. A driver issue most likely indeed.

    The waiting will suck!

I was lucky the MSI version was available in Australia quickly.

Just carried out my first Fire Strike run and scored 10415 overall.

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/2842200

I am happy with the score for a single card but it detects my CPU incorrectly as a 5960 when I have a 5930.

Has anyone come across this issue before?

I should add that my score was with everything running at base clocks, incl memory @ 2133.

    Will try some overclocking next.

Hey I just purchased the same model, figure give it a try, If I didn't like could always send back.

First impression? The card is small :eek3: compared to the eVga GTX770 4Gb FTW/ACX, maybe about 2-3 inches smaller. Doesn't overclock as much as the non-reference cards, but that is to be expected. Still will get up to 1450 boost on core, but you have to max out the power limit ,which isn't much, only 106 in AB. Runs pretty cool at load, the max temp I've seen was 62C at 80% fan speed. About the same noise level as my last card. Also, no coil whine

Did some benches, Metro 2033,Metro Last light, Crysis 1, and AVP. Did anywhere from 25-35 frames more on the average compared to the GTX770.

I'm impressed. Probably going to give this one to my son, and try out their AMP! version when it becomes available. That one has better power delivery, slightly different cooler, and back plate.

Guys... Talking about fan speed in percentages is absolutely completely useless because those numbers can mean absolutely anything. So please... If you talk about fan speed, use RPM's.

For example in my case 80% means loud as **** @ 3750 RPM.... But obviously in your case 80% is something completely different but I have no idea what it is...
