Have you increased your power limit?

Already mentioned this in the 970 owners thread.. first page.

Also, why is it a risk? I was able to mod mine in under 5 minutes.. its easy as pie for anyone who is not an absolute amateur using a computer.

Just make a backup of your stock bios or download some from the web. easy.

Anytime you oc is a risk and if you card does not have dual bios it can make it more if a risk.
Man I did not see that post best link scince sliced bread
Lastly with the game stable bios it set the 8pin power as a 6pin power. I noticed this cause it was lower than my stock b3 bios. Any thoughts? Lastly the tdp only increases what looks like 9watts on the gigabyte g1 970.

nice clocks but was expecting more score from that speed?
I get 71.5 fps with just 1550 core and 8020 memory?
seems strange, anyone know why, or could it just be down to cpu?

I just noticed if i back down the frequencys. i get better scores.... now you have me really curious.

Plus with them high clocks introduced COIL WHINE. OMG... only when the clocks are that high. its like a squaling pig. lmao.

I wonder if your CPU helps with a better average FPS in valley probally not. im not sure, im going to do a bench with your posted clocks with the higher clocks my frametime... was all over the place.

I'm not good at this, so I tried +150 and +500. 500 reliably crashed my card so I lowered it to 200 and it's fine. I could probably squeeze more out of it but I don't know what I'm doing with voltage, etc, so I'll leave it be.

I guess the scores are not better but it seems smoother while bencharking.

i could only get that high memory once i did the bios mod. PS score is in the previous post. I'm really shocked the max fps is quite higher but its 1fps off. weird... definitely not worth the whine or the smoothness.

    Stock voltage
    110% power
    +230 core
    +300 memory

That'll do me for now, but I can go higher for sure. I absolutely love this card.

I've a strange problem regarding memory clock.
When i increase memory clock in MSI Afterburner "+10" for example, if i Check memory clock in GPU-Z, I notice that memory clock is only increased by "+5".
Basically, Clock in GPU-z is always reduced 1/2 when compared with MSI Afterburner.

Is there any explanation for this behavior? I've a MSI GTX 970 4G.

    Thanks in advance
