    Hi

I had a hd5970 mistake , I like the no probs of nv :). I have had 3 just not at the same time

Happy with the MSI, it is quiet, just came from gigs 670 4 gb windforce and when I fired up my machine after msi install I thought my machine was dead, nope heard a beep but no gpu fans, nice and at 60-70% they are quiet and have never went over that in hours of benching, headphones and no monitor in game play. The giga from what I read does not hit a power wall and start to throttle? Based on its power tables that maybe possible? MSI you need to mod the power table and flash the card to stop power throttling for sure, but when done and working it is stable 1580 (no throttle) so far. This thing when 1612 stock voltage and games r worth playing again at 1580/8000, as heaven scores say. Not sure if this is some green initiative? I do light with 98% LED and burn wood with eco fans.

    Regards

Why use this dead for weeks thread btw? Any discussion is pretty much done on the 970 owners thread :S

Why not? Not like its a 3 year old dead thread based on a non 970 card.

Mine Galax GeForce GTX 970 is not much of an overclocker. ASIC quality is 68.1%

Reaches Maximum of 7500 Mhz on Memory.

Stock clock 3DMark Firestrike score is 9355
Maximum overclocked Firestrike score I had was 9891.

Had to down load it and only ran it once with 1580/8000, it was stable at 1612 no voltage so will try again

    Score 11563

    No Power Limit increase needed?

For those setting I need 110% Power Limit.

Not sure if I should wait for a 390X or pull the trigger for a 970.

impressive core clock, (i take it that's not boost?, what is your boost speed) what voltage you using, and air cooled or water?
i cant get past 1320 std clock, (1520 boost), but boost not shown in 3dmark) on core but memory goes to over 8Ghz no problem?
