    Hey guys

I was watching youtube and suddenly artifacts start to popping up and my computer crashes...

Switched the card to other PCI-e slot, tried both hdmi and dvi-d cable. No change.

Onboard hd3000 works perfect using hdmi.

gtx 780 was running stock clocks all the time. Idle temps around 30°C and stressed never above 80°C.

So my card is already dead? RMA time...

yea it looks like rma time. you can try a few different drivers, but probably it won't work.

    Uninstall the driver,
take gpu out for few minutes,
maybe put on radiator for few min - warm (on backplate side)
now try 331.82 or modded quadro 331.87 driver.

If it still doesn't work then yeah rma time...

If its doing that before windows loads ie in the bios no driver is going to help. Does it just do that in youtube only or in the bios. In windows or in game?

Well it looks pretty ****ed up. Artifacts are everywhere, bios, booting windows, ...

I deleted all nvidia drivers then I get this:

After installing new drivers it goes into a 16 color scheme or something. But artifacts remains when rebooting.

Rma man think its bad vram. There are no nvidia drivers loaded up in the bios. One last thing you can try is reseating the card blow out the pci e slots with a can of air and the gpu too.

Yeah I already did that, still the same. Just packed the 780 in the original box for RMA. Running on my old 4850 atm

    Thx everyone for feedback :)

That's exactly what came to mind after seeing post #7.... A friend's PC did exactly as described (and pictured) in post #7. Blowing out the PCIe and ram slots solved the issue.

I recommend blowing out the PCIe slot any time a graphics card is removed

Jep it was out for half an hour. My 4850 is running without problems in the same PCI-e slot. I pushed the 780 back in after and still artifacts, so my guess is bad vram.

Ok. It's same artifacts for my old videocards (GF 6800Ultra AGP and 8800GTS 640). lool.

But ATTENTION should clean PRETTY WELL monthly in your PC!

I watched films/videos, played games/demos/samples and worked applications (Octane Render...) without freezeBSoD!! I "love" GTX 480 and this card is almost 40 months old (3 years old)!! :D
