I have a 680 but figured you all would want to know. They are up now.. Get em while they're hot: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=100006662&isNodeId=1&Description=gtx+670&x=0&y=0 Thank me later :supercool
Nice, wonder how long they'll be in stock. I wonder how they managed such a short PCB. Now it makes more sense as to why the power connectors are in such a weird spot.
The PCB is really really short... and it seems perfectly fit already for a laptop implementation... And Nvidia will have a real winner with the GTX 670 in a laptop... too bad the 670M is really bad... (not even close to 7970M)
Just ordered the Gigabyte GTX 670 on Newegg. I had received an auto-notify about 2 hours ago but right after I added it to my cart it got removed. Was just checking Newegg again and lo and behold they were available again (didn't get the 2nd auto-notify I had signed up for 'tho). Got it ordered before it could get removed again. Sam
didn't even know newegg had them. Bought one from evga at work this morning. Then got home and saw this thread and bought another one. Can't beat free shipping:banana:
TD has 4GB 670 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2580892&sku=E145-0676
Me too! I reaaally want it. Just need more MONEY! Money, money, mmhhhhh yeah! It performs so great and it's so small and cute.
From the benchmarks I've seen the performance is extremely close to the 680, which disappoints me honestly. I mean hell, it's great for those that didn't buy the 680, but I feel a little cheated personally. I do think the 680 has a lot of room to improve via drivers though, so we'll see.
We all know about the yeild issues with these GPUs. With performance being so close with these 2 cards, I wonder if the 680 might get even get phased out, leaving space for the GK110 as the new high-end card later on? All this is just speculation.
I had an gtx 680 ordered but they called me to say that it was not going to be shipped until 21th of May, so I changed the order to a custom cooler Gigabyte GTX670 2Gb. I save 150 euros, and it will have virtually the same (even more if im lucky) performance than with the 680. I think nvidia cheated all us gtx 680 owners. And even more, I can choose to add just 100 more euros and have a SLI that will have the same performance that the gtx 690 for 300 euros less.
the GTX 670 seems to be in good supply lol... Most reference design is still up on Newegg. I really think now that that GTX 680 had massive yield issues which resulted in a good supply of GTX 670 XD
There is no supply issue here in EU, probably because they're so expensive... Looks like its only in USA and imo there is no GTX 680 yield shortage, they're just stalling them so people get crazy and buy them quick. Marketing at its finest
The Short PCB ones have a lot less OC room due the limited Power Phases. If i would get a 670 i would go for the ones that use the 680 PCB. Also i watched a video review earlier and they said the ASUS GTX 670 TOP DirectCU II was the best deal.
They still have not even released a damn good driver for the 680 and now the 670 is basically the same card for 100 dollars less? That is some BS! I feel so cheated...
Yawn its not "same performance" as the 680 blah blah blah. We've all heard the same story through the years. Its just a way to make the buyer feel better for not buying a 680. A cute little lie. Ya like the card buy it but dont tell your self its the same performance as a 680 because some site shows it. For some odd reason your fps wont be the same. And yes some game are very very close so.. Cheers..
