Hey guys, I am looking to replace my GTX 580 and I am pretty settled on a GTX 670.

I am not sure which one I should get though: the MSI GTX 670 PE or the ASUS DCII.
My main concerns are are noise (number one) and temperature.

Anyone have any input on these two?

    Thanks.

EDIT: I went with the MSI. Wow, was not expecting this big of a jump. Runs 1331 MHz on stock volts. Now I need to catch up in the CPU dept.

the 670 PE looks like it will have adjustable voltage according to MSI........... the DCII is a nice card, just make sure you do not get the TOP card, as most of those are unstable overclocks anyways and you can do the same with the non-top

with that said i'd probably pick the MSI

    Hi all,

After reading this post i finally made the decision to upgrade my main pc parts. Got myself a i7 3770K (@4,6 air) with a ASrock Extreme4 Z77 and the Gigabyte GTX670 OC,

And here is the best result so far. :)

First benchmark with stock eVGA GTX 670 FTW. Looks like things are working as they should.

Gonna start putting up gameplay and benchmarks on my youtube. Starting with this heaven run. I use a capture card to record so there's no lag and performance drop.

its ok your processor held your score back because of the physics test.

PC has been in bits for weeks.
I've stripped it down to change some stuff around and fit some raystorm water blocks to GPU and CPU and you know I have just passed my motorbike test so have been riding around on my new bike and really cant be arsed to put the thing back together!
It was running so sweet before i just know it going to put up a fight when I put it back together..lol

Processor is not overclocked at the moment, GPU runs on standard factory overclock.

I did a bit more yesterday. The MB has been refitted with it's new block and all the piping has been done. Have mounted the blocks on both the GPU but need to organise memory & VRM cooling, still a little but undecided on that.

    Hi guys,
    I have a Evga gtx 670 vannila.
Came from a 7950 which overclocked easily to 1100mhz on stock volts.
But anyway,i just try to overclock the gtx 670 to get some higher benchmark scores, and i cant overclock it at all.
Even just 25mhz+ on the core results in a restart of pc when starting vantage?:S
So this card has totally no overclock room?
Sotck the card reaches 1110mhz boost.
Anyone know what can be the problem?
I raised both the voltage to 1175v and the other to 122%.
    Thnx

Sometimes it just comes down to plain luck! My old 5870 OC so little it wasn't worth the effort but both of my 670 are fantastic. My friend bought the same cards and he's got one great one and one weak one. it's just the way it goes.
What I would say is if you have just bought the card(s) then give them some time to settle down they will almost certainly improve. If after some running in it's still poor then remove the heatsink, clean up the paste and remount with some good quality paste.
