But.. but.. Okay I've run out of reasons. :bang:

It's just that the 660 is twice the price of the 650 Ti. It would have been okay if the 660 is 100% faster but considering that its only 50-60% faster than the 650 Ti but 2x the price.

The HD 7850 would have been a good choice, but in our country it is priced exactly the same as the 660 :3eyes:

    @HamsterCrispy: KABAYAN!

will it matter if i said that a store in our region sells Radeon HD 7950 at P11,999? (~290 USD) Brand new as well

in my case my initial target was the GTX 660 as well, since my 460 is dying somewhat, (still runs games fine since im only at 1280 x 1024 lol)

Wow, a 7950 @ 12k? That's a nice find. I browse the prices online @ tipidpc. I have to order stuff because here in Dumaguete we just don't have any shops that sell main****** to enthusiast-grade hardware. Not to mention they sell stuff here almost 500 -1,000 Php higher. :infinity:

1280X1024? I'm running at 1440x900 and yeah the 460 is pretty sweet on our resolutions.

So are you gonna upgrade soon?

Now, I have no idea if this will make a difference to you, but I was previously using a GTX 460 768MB and I was getting absolutely awful performance in games (I play at 1080p) and upgraded to a GTX 660 Ti SC and the performance difference was absolutely astonishing to me. My framerates doubled, if not even more than double! I've just recently gotten another GTX 660 Ti and I can't begin to explain my happiness about my rig. I feel awfully nerdy saying that, but this is Guru3D, so you guys know how I feel! Haha.

Anyway, I really recommend getting the 660 Ti. Not only will it provide fantastic performance, but it will also give your PC more of a "future-proofing" so you won't need to upgrade as soon as you would with a GTX 650 Ti.

Haha nice one dude. Thanks for the advice. I do have a chance of getting the 660 Ti but that would mean I would use up almost all of my christmas bonus, which is really a bummer because I have some other plans of it :D

No doubt the 660 Ti is like 200% better than the 460 768MB. I can't imagine how happy I would be if I could get my hand on a 660 Ti, but then again reality bites. My financial status is nowhere near stable and it would really hurt to spend so much on a videocard when I don't really game that much anymore. I dunno, maybe I am getting old.

Really, thanks for the advice. I'm pretty sure the 660 Ti will kick ass, but at 2.5x the price of the 650 Ti, I just can't buy it. :)

    I got my 7950 WF3 at 285€ which is £228 pounds.

Right now I'm running this at 1.162v 1100/1400, temps are pretty much 64-66C @load, 3dmark11 graphics score ~10100, w00t w00t. Very pleased (although I did have to go through a lot of hassle and experimenting, which was fun, but time consuming)..

Anyways you'll be happy with either purchase, just know that the 7900s have a HUGE OC potential, the only reason why I got one of these 7950s. I was deciding between 660Ti/7950/670/7970 for a LONG time, eventually I got the 7950 and I made the right choice.

I found that price in TipidPC, PC Hub is selling em ;) But it looks like its the reference cooler version which may be a little hot, but given the performance it gives at the price range, i say its good.

Im not really upgrading, more like repalce the card, as this old 460SE of mine has been baked 3 times now to operate lol, i can already imagine it dying soon. Most of my cards are green and im a little skeptical in going red (tho i sometimes test my sisters' HD 6850 on my rig for experiments)

Nah, must have been sold already or they changed the price. I just checked and all prices were like 13-14k yikes!

That's one tough 460 you got there, you really can't let it go given that you've already baked it 3 times lol

Speaking of the 6850. I know that its a great card and it goes head to head with the 460 and is also a great overclocker. Overlocking a 6850 to 900 mhz gets it to 6870 performance I think if I remember correcltly.
I was thinking of getting a 6850 coz there are lots of brand new ones that are on sale for about 6-7K. What do you think?

Not worth it.....buy a brand new 7950 for roughly the same price. It will be faster have more memory and be brand new.
