gtx 460 oc overclock safe 890/2000 at max voltage? 1087mV??

    gtx 460 oc (gigabyte) overclock safe 890/2000 at max voltage? 1087mV??

    900/2100 1050 1067 1087mV not stable in some games just crash from noware

    now ints only crash when i end season in dirt3

    i see this in one of the forums
    GTX 460 850/1700/4600 @ 0,987v 279 watt
    GTX 460 850/1700/4600 @ 1,000v 282 watt
    GTX 460 850/1700/4600 @ 1,012v 285 watt
    GTX 460 850/1700/4600 @ 1,025v 288 watt
    GTX 460 850/1700/4600 @ 1,037v 291 watt
    GTX 460 850/1700/4600 @ 1,050v 293 watt

    so its safe voltage overclock for my pc??

    i have the EVGA GTX 460 SC EE 1gb now its SLI but both are stable at this Core Voltage: 1062 mV
    GPU: 850 MHZ
    Shader Clock: 1700 MHZ
    Memory Clock:2200 MHZ (Double Data Rate 4400QDR)
    Fan Speed: 100%

    There have been some cases where such high clocks passed tests fine but the cards died eventually. In my opinion, anything above 850MHz is too risky for the long run.

    you should worry about that only if you'd have a 570 or 590...with a 460 you will be fine. I have a 570 and keep it at 885 mhz with 1.063 and i dont worry about it:p

    nice memory clock. Mine starts to artifact if I push the memory above 2000...

    I run at 850/2000 at 1.025v

    I would say its totally safe I ran my old MSI gtx 460 cyclone at 1.150 v at 900mhz for many months and it never exceeded 70 something celsius and worked perfectly fine and as far as I know the person I sold it to is still using the card to this day.
