But even now the GTX 295 is a great card and we all know its the faster card of the 2.. But I would had hold that 5870.. :)

Edited: If theres a reason for it also, then you made a good decision.. :D

hmmm I'm thinking of doing the same thing, selling the 5870 now (when I can still make my money back), replacing it with a cheaper Nvidia setup, then buying a Fermi later.

I've been playing CSS since my Geforce 6600GT, then i had a ATI HD3850, HD4870 and now a HD5870 in crossfire, and i do NOT have any problems in counter strike source :3eyes: so what problem is there exactly with counter strike source -_-'

Then you might want to sell the 295 right quick. Last time around the 9800 GX2 dropped like a rock when the 280 came out.

I use it on my 295. it only works on the 2 pcb version of the card. if your fan is in the middle it is the single pcb version. fan on the end is dual pcb version

I think he made a good choice the 295 is still a fantastic card, and would still fetch a good price second hand. all nvidia cards hold there price better than most ATI cards when selling them second hand.(i know this from experience)

WTF, I've been trying to sell 2 x GTX295 (Dual PCB version)
Both have EK water blocks that cost me $190 AU each and still are that price to buy new here ATM
(1st card cost $770 AU, 2nd Card cost $575 AU, that's without water blocks)
Offering to sell them for $450 each and I've been waiting for 2 going on 3 months now for someone to offer even close to the price I'm offering them for..
The only offers I get are wankers asking for them at $350 each.
To be truthful I'd rather take a hammer to the cards then sell em for any less then what I'm asking.
But I imagine that the GTX295 is only going to be sold for less the longer I hold on to them for.
[sarcasm] Yeah great resale value.. [/sarcasm]

Watercooled cards are always more difficult to sell, it's always better to stick a stock air cooler on the card and sell the block separately.

Yes the reason might be that you are selling them as water cooled GTX 295,stick the stock cooler back on them and you might have more luck.
