That card is not powerful enough for PhysX. From what I've read you shouldn't be using anything lower than a 9600 series card.

As for the OP's original question I'd say your cutting it close considering the 750w only has a single 60amp 12v rail but it should be doable. If it's all the same I'd just snag a 9600GT 512mb which will consume less power and still work perfectly.

i am running a gtx 295 with 8800gtx for physx on a 850w smps also got my i7 950 overclocked to 3.8 ghz ,3 1tb hdds multiple usb devices with no problems
i think the 9800gt uses less power than a 8800gtx so if you 750w smps is good than you should have no problems

that card is plenty fast enough for physx,i have my 8500gt heavily overclocked and it scores just as much as my 260 does as a standalone card in physx benchmarks without the 8500gt,so with the 8500gt heavy oc i say again, the 260 does not have to handle physx an can just pump out the frames lol

I used to run the exact same combo: GTX 295 + 9800GT for PhysX. I did it with a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750. It was very close, and I did get a few shutdowns, so you might want to consider getting a better power supply at some point if you really want to do the dedicated PhysX thing.

I splurged and bought a new PC Power and Cooling Turbo Cool 860 Watt PSU, and later a GTX 260 for PhysX. I regret it. There are no games that I like that use PhysX, and even still, I think a GTX 295 by itself can handle the 3D rendering and PhysX very well.

It was a fun experiment though.
