The first three are quick "bombing it down the pitlane and stopping at the end of the main straight" runs to show you the conditions. The 4th is a pit out-lap-pit in to show you the physics and how the car handles etc.

I read in Gamespot the demo was 512 megs? Why is this one so small or is Gamespot just wrong?

Gamespot was wrong on the size. They updated their page to fix that mistake, so it now says 312MB too.

Well, I played it, its pretty good. Much easier to handle than the old one for some reason, feels almost arcady. Thats with all the defaults. I'll mess with realism tommorow morning.

Edit: Default settings have max assists

Now turn all aids off except auto clutch (unless you have a 3rd pedal) and change to simulation mode. See how you get on.

 

I think I'll try it too, the last racing simulation I played was Grand Prix Legends, and I played that for two years off and on, this one will probably be a little easier to get a hang off (I am guessing, because of the cars anyway). 92% downloaded, hopefully my FX 5900 can handle this.

 

wow. awesome. the engine is amazing too. everything maxed...every setting on Full 1280x1024 6xAA 8xAF and im getting about 120fps average.

I think I'll try this, if just for seeing what Wildstyle and Eclap have been freaking out about. Only racing sim I've played was Nascar Racing Season 2003. 'Course this means having to crawl under my desk to get my pedals out since I always end up pushing them further and further back.

 

i guess UK People love these kind of games like futball UK Style. GT4 is the best Racing Game to date and no GTR 1 or 2 can take its place.

 

But gt4 is for ps2 not pc. For the pc gtl and gtr1+2 are the only true sims.

Consider yourself blessed. Last driving game I had been playing was Crazy Taxi. Oh yeah, a real sim game that one is. I'll just have to remind myself that the spectators aren't fares.
