Yeah that's a killer. They gave away game which doesn't make them money anymore, so they don't lose anything. I will lough if it will be ported as earlier GTAs. I always remember King of The Road 3, which was developed 8 years or so, and i can't really name it as beta. Alpha at most.
In other words, pre-ordering in this instance has not generated any income for Rockstar whatsoever.
I appreciate there are other methods for pre-ordering which require money in advance, but in this instance no money has left my wallet.
Bought it and finished it on PS4.
Will never buy it on PC.
This has been said over and over again but I'll say it again, when Steam, Amazon etc start reporting that there are mass pre order cancellations, R* will take notice but that's the only way you are going to send a clear message.
I tend to side with those who say this is being done because they don't want to damage console sales and/or the upcoming 'Heists'.
I seriously doubt it has to do with quality control and I suspect GTA V will release on PC in a far less than perfect state.
We'll see I guess.
im not upset about witcher 3
I think you're confusing Rockstar with DICE.
have it on the PS4 which is good enuff for me, wont buy it for the PC.
if they had of been released at the same time PC/console then i would of bought it for PC as it probs would of cheaper and better than the console version.
but as it stands i like the PS4 version dont need/want it on the PC now.
I guarantee there will be bugs. They put out no demo/beta to get data on the multitude of system configurations the game will be on.
You realise you can port your character using the social club, right?
You may want to do this in the future...and get access to the machinima tool.
Every delay is costing money to Rockstar because of increased development/testing/fixing time. Better delay than release too early (to some point)...
Learn to put right amount of developers to get something released in time ? For a big project like that, it's hard. I cant event say when my own code is ready. Really should use this: Actual developmet time = estimated development time * Pi
no i did not know, although it's something i would not use, not that much into the game if i am honest i enjoy playing the game though on the PS4.
dont get me wrong, there probs lots of people who will buy it for PC who do have it on PS4 although not me.
(thats 3 things i have learned today from visiting Guru3d handy place to filter through the info)
Yes, i agree that probably the lack of budget provoked this and is a disrespect.
But we can play anything else and take a look when its properly released instead of ubifaking alphas as final releases.
As for the age of the game, well it's not like the game industry innovation would render it obsolete.
Stop the presses!
Yep, same here ^^
Not paying full price for a budget game that been out for 1,5 year.
preorder just cancelled for me.
You're talking as if it didn't come out for hardware that's 7-8 years old (console).
That 1.5 year is really not that bad
Optimizing for 3.5 GB cards?
