No crashes but the game froze once after 90mins of gameplay (screen unresponsive, audio OK). This happened with the 1st patch.

I crash at random when having a four star police chase, or higher, in singleplayer, but I reckon that's a game issue and not the driver itself.

My crashes were due to GPU overclock.

I reduced my offset and the crashes stopped.

Other than two online glitches on heists that caused the game to freeze, it's been very solid for the hours I played it.

Just a note, seems people that like to have the pagefile off also suffer from crashes. So, just set the pagefile to be managed by Windows, like it's supposed to.

That could well be my own problem, I used to turn off pagefile but now after some research on that point I will never do that again.

Ive played hours and hours w/o a crash then after the last game update, it crashed after 2 minutes I played. Then I restarted the missions again played for hours and no crash. :)

I think it was because of the last update.

I was getting random crashes playing GTA online, not really during game play but at the end of missions when it loads back to free roam.
My CPU was overclocked @ 4.6,
I ended up loading optimized defaults in bios, everything back to stock also i turned off hyperthreading.
I've played for about three hours tonight & not a single crash, not sure whether it was an unstable overclock or the hyperthreading ?
I'll have to have a play around see if i can work it out.

I noticed that every other game start my gpu suddenly only gets 50% load instead of 100% and thats usually the time that it crashes after 1-2h with a directx error. not sure though if its a driver issue since I don't rly have time for testing. Using 350.12 drivers.

Only one ctd pre patch, no issues now, perhaps drop your oc to 4.2 and see what happens?

This is why you stability test your OC instead of blaming it on games.

Like all of these 'this game / patch / driver sucks because now i crash'. It's 95% of the time the user not stability testing. Something demanding comes along and the daggers come out.

I`m not a PC gamer to run my CPU/GPU on stock just because some devs can`t make their engine to work with OC components. My PC is stable,CPU/GPU, but I still get crashes in GTA 5,mostly related to nvidia driver, but what I notice is that if I put Threaded Optimization to ON the crashes stops.

Threaded Optimization is an OpenGL only feature.

I totally agree with you :), i wasn't blaming the game, i've been gaming & oc'ing long enough to know that unless you know 100% that your oc is stable you can't rule it out.
