this is grid 1 with better graphics ...
need AA bits, for Nvidia Inspector.
I get this at custom max with both AL, GI, with 16xQcsaa
*stock gpu 1084mhz boost
I didnt see much gfx improvement vs Grid2 (at least benchmarks),
But i saw this in cfg, now they use 4096 shadows instead of 2048 (grid2) and tree LOD max detail 3.0 fixed vision distance instead of 1.5 dynamic.
This is after I added both exe to Grid2 profile and in CFG changed <anisotropic min="16" max="16" />,
*default is <anisotropic min="4" max="16" />
Normal textures VS the optional high resolution textures.
High Res Textures:
I would of prefered detailed interiors instead.
It's a DX11 game so you can only enhance it. In those screenshots I am using 8xMSAA (ingame) and I am enhancing it with 8xSGSSAA in NVIDIA Inspector.
Seems about right, looks like faster cpu and ram and win8.1 helps some more
Yes, I am sorry but I find Forza to be extremely boring, though 4 was and still is the best in the series its waaay better than the crap they released in 5 for the Xbox One. But I find GRID Autosport a lot more challenging for some reason. I clocked Forza 4 on the hardest difficulty with only minor assists on and was first in almost every race. GRID Autosport on medium A.I and a few assists on is one of the hardest racers I have ever played.
Yep 14.6 RC2 contains a crossfire profile. It sure better contain one as Codemasters are all about AMD they have had a very close partnership with them for years now and most of their racers have been AMD Gaming Evolved titles.
I can't see a lick of difference? Are they specifically for monitors w/ resolutions above 1080p? That would make sense why I can't see any difference at all.
Check both 1st and 2d screens, you will see one has "lower quality" paint and lower quality headlight detail.
I personally thought it will enhance all not just cars.
Daytime Skybox looks kinda bad still..
wow, the difference in those comparsion screens is very minimal.. 5gb texture pack, for what?? the only diff i see is a nimimal better texture on teh cars, the street looks as bad as before, lol..
i fail to see any difference between low res and hi res (just the decals are a bit sharper). But I do think that the hi res pack will be noticable on higher resolutions than 1080p
There's definately a difference but I don't think it's worth the 5GB SSD/HDD space.

Been playing a bit more of this game, sorry but it is not good so far after more time with it.
Anybody who compares this to GRID 1 is an idiot, GRID 1 far far exceeds this game. This one is better than GRID 2 but still nowhere near as good as GRID 1.
One of the most common complaints I've read is it seems the cars are driving on a constant slick surface and turning is a pita... The other thing I've read is the AI think it's NFS and blatantly crash into you all the time
Sadly that became quite blatant over the last few weeks. This engine is on it's last legs, visually this game looks poor. So glad I never gave in this time and pre-ordered. I really hope this doesn't take off and codies wake up and finally get back to the type of stuff they used to produce.
What the hell are the sky boxes and stuff about in these recent codies titles, they looks shocking. Then you have the coloured/filtered pallet which is just as bad
Last good Codies title was DIRT2. Looked and sounded great for the time, still holds up today. And it balanced the arcade/sim stuff perfectly.

We are talking about a low mid-range laptop GPU here
Got SLI working with decent scaling (about 80%) a proper profile will probably do a bit better.
All maxed except AL and GI. 8X MSAA 2560x1440
All maxed AL and GI on. 8X MSAA 2560x1440.
As you can see AL and GI still causes a big hit on GK104 (poor compute performance).
Not so much GI but AL yes (well in my case anyway)
have to agree with you, its not a patch on grid 1
plus im sick of the ai drivers crashing into from behind and taking me off the track
I would not know for sure I always turn both off in codie games kinda like motion blur.
