I am using official 10.1 latest driver with fresh install and NO overclock.

If I click on a Youtube video and watch in any res other than 1080 no problems but as soon as I click 1080p I get a grey screen and cant watch anything.

Could you guys recommend the latest beta as Im confused which one that is.

    Thanks all.

Flash video GPU acceleration is broken. Try to disable it through flash player settings. 8.70 RC2 drivers were most stable for me. Ati Catalyst 10.1 Grey Screen HOTFIX is a total crap.

Just did an install of 9.12. Used driver sweeper first in safe mode. Used CCleaner to remove any other references just in case. Same as before. All 3 drivers do the same thing. I even unticked hardware accelerate on Flash player. Same thing happens.

    Tried:

    9.12, 10.1 grey hotfix, rc2

I have heard people mention this. What is it?

    Thanks.

EDIT: What ever that was that you told me to install over the 9.12's worked a charm! Works now no problem as long as I untick hardware acceleration. What the hell was all that I installed?

    Thanks again!

So will I need to install that SDK thing every time I change driver?

No, you don't. It is separate install. CCC uninstall utility didn't remove SDK from the system.

What Adobe Flash Player version are you using? Let me guess; you are using the 10.1 beta2 flash player...

Having the same problem, though it may have more to do with the flash beta 10.1 than the drivers....

That is why I asked the OP that question. He is most likely using the 10.1 beta or 10.1 beta 2 Adobe Flash player. It is known to lock up all ATI cards when trying to play 1080P video on YouTube.

It is "not" the ATI driver but rather the "BETA!" Adobe Flash Player.

That is what I was surmising......basically I get around that issue, by not playing flash videos at 1080p..........
