hey guys hows it going?i was wondering in your opinion what is the greatest guitar solo you have ever heard?this is mine hands down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0ZIOlCE4iU :infinity:
This isn't the greatest in a technical sense but it's definitely my favorite of all time. Just feels so incredibly good. 3 Days by Jane's Addiction (2 solo's) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDsCm05TJ10&feature=related Solo's at 4:40 to 6:40 and 9:25 to the end. Also, by far my most favorite song of all times.
IMHO It's still a toss between .. Abracadabra - Steve Miller Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd Home Sweet Home - Motley Crue
there both amazing whole lotta love is a hot song even better when you with woman if you know what im talking about and back and black i love ac/dc grew up on them been to see them twice
You've probably never heard them, but this is Jeff kollman in his former band, Edwin dare.he used to be my guitar teacher. This should blow your nuts right out of your pants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDuCajchf9w Honorable mention to Always with me/always with you, by Satch Mr Crowley, Rhroads Cathedral (live) by Eddie VH
Any solo by buckethead is gold. John 5 throws down a god solo....Flood by Dimebag Darrel.... meh, too many to think of.
IMO best solo ever as far as feeling goes. I miss Dime so much. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yUJBAX0B2k lol didnt see someone already mentioned it. Floods by pantera, just the solo and the outtro.
I couldn't choose. There's so many great solos that can send chills down my spine. From the blazingly fast and technical to the slow and soulful and emotional. Can't even begin to make a list of favorites.
Pink Floyd; Pigs: Three Different Ones... Put on headphones and relax... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XjY2m0bAaU
Some of my favourites solos and semi-solos are: Metallica - Master of Puppets Metallica - Nothing Else Matters Metallica - Fade To Black Pink Floyd - On The Turning Away. Pink Floyd - High Hopes(Pulse) ACDC - Thunderstruck (Intro but awesome "solo" nonetheless) Audience - Raviole (Instrumental, awesome acoustic piece) Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love (Short but very powerful piece after the semi-instrumental) Dire Straits - Money For Nothing (Short intro solo. Best listened full blast) Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody Queen - Innuendo Yngwie Malmsteen - (Basically all his songs ) The guitar face-off in the movie Crossroads between Ry Cooder & Steve Vai ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090888/ ) There are still loads more, but way too many to list
Earls Court, November 20th 1994, Pink Floyd "Pulse" (I was there the same evening the concert dvd is from): Sorrow. //Svein
