Butter smooth, even if I use more texture memory than the game says I should.

    Lovin' it....so snappy and responsive.

My 780 SLI are behaving superb. this was definately worth the wait. (maybe not the extended wait but you get my point)

The gfx have blown me away although, character eyes look like they are tripping out and staring into space instead of the person in front of them sometimes ;)

Great review Hilbert. I look forward to your SLI results. I guess you will not do the 780SLI benchmark but perhaps you have the 780Ti SLI on hand so I have something comparable?

HH, you should really consider adding CPU's benchmarks to your tests in the future. I'm pretty sure people wants to know Intel vs AMD scaling, overclocked vs not...etc.

I thought this was a Nvidia Gameworks title.

was so tempted to get it on PC (I have on 360 and XB1) particularly as you can get the key for around £30.... but I can see hacks are prevalent on youtube so will give it a miss shame

If you are literately going to be displeased by every benchmark or news posted on this site, and are just going to troll everything constantly then you can just go.

Wait , at 1440p the 280x is ALOT faster than a 770. Is the 770 being used a 2gb version? That would explain the performance difference since 280x is generally 3Gb.

280X is in most games faster than 770 and closer to 780. It wasnt like that in the release but somehow nvidia crippled kepler performance.

I've not yet benched it yet (too busy playing) but it's silky smooth 99% of the time on my 2GB SLI 680s which i find impressive! Most settings are pretty much maxed out, apart from textures, AA and population variety which I've lowered due to my vram limits.

According to it's vram guide I'm pushing over 3.5gb with my settings, so the game must have some nice vram memory management as I only notice the tiniest of stutters every now and again - nothing to worry about that's for sure!

So still life in those 2 old dogs yet!!!

Great performance review as always. So be it 29x or 28x or 7xx or 9xx you will be fine playing the game on 1080p with near max settings. As that is the most used resolution.

Rockstar did something good for once with optimizations.

I don't believe that nvidia has crippled anything 280x and 770 were pretty much on par from the get go. And noway is 280x closing in on 780 except in games that are heavily biased towards AMD.

Well there was quite a debate here on Guru3d about it. Couple of members also said they lost some performance with their 780/ti over time with new drivers.

780ti and 980 ware on pair and now 780ti is around 970 performance while 780 is barely faster than 280X in last couple of games. I dont want to start a rumble and another controversy but it does seem strange.

I dont really care about 780 performance. My problem is i have a 280x at nearly 1200 core and ive got a 770 4gb version on the way. Id like to know which to keep and which to sell.

That's why i was wondering if that 770 in the benchmark was a 2gb or 4gb version and if a 4gb version would put it around 280x/780 performance levels. 41 fps @ 1440p is not ideal for me, i need more.

You are pretty much doing a sidegrade with 770. Keeping either works out for you... Of course selling the other will make losses so I would send 770 back if you can get all the moneys back o_O

Troll!??? But ALERT! GTX 780 non-Ti is only ~8% faster than GTX 680 in this review - it's false... But yes GTX 780 is between 25% and 40% faster than 680 at most games.

Hilbert: Thank you for the review. Since I have the same cpu at the same OC you sure did help me! As far as using another cpu etc, I agree it would be interesting but if your test bed is the 5960x, I think posters forget how hard it is to find another test bed.

    Ricardo,

Every town has a village idiot, you are the one at Guru3D hence somehow you are still part of this community. I'll put it plain and simple, just because you don't like a result, doesn't mean you are right and we are not. You are walking a very thin line here by throwing around accusations. I'd be very careful from here onward.
