because it's fully multicore optimized and is extremely resource hungry at high settings.

I am interested in seeing these if people want to take the time. Curious how it runs on setups possibly similar to mine, since there's no demo available.

Note the difference in settings and driver versions. Both results are with SLI enabled.

It's really not worth benchmarking this game yet. There are just so many quirks that are software/driver related. While it may run fine in the benchmark, realistically it will run like **** when you actually go to play it on the same settings.

Iirc, my videocard was at 790/840 as well. Uhhh, nice looking game, need a new videocard SOON! I was hoping ATI or Nvidia were going to release something before Christmas...guess not.

All stock, rebooting to run the benchmark with overclcocked settings. Maxed out settings for my rig. Btw; to do this properly so you can compare you need consistency, people are using different settings. :bang:

Jesus this thing sounds quite demanding. I was wanting to run it at 1920x1200 but a 4870x2 can only get 40FPS at 1680 then I guess I am screwed.

I read that there is no AA or AF. Can anyone say whether it is possible to apply either via the drivers?

    1. Open GTA IV program's folder, right click LaunchGTAIV.exe and create a shortcut on same folder.

    2. Right click the created shortcut and choose properties. Append "-novblank" (without quotes) to the program's path
    i.e. "C:\Program Files(x86)\Rockstar Games\GTAIV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" -vnoblank

    3. Open RGSC and make sure you're logged in. Minimize it.

    4. Launch the game using the shortcut.

    Done.

Hey guys, what about a small frontend to run GTA IV benchmark?

Hmmmm, never mind, the benchmark is flawed, the framerate never goes over 65 FPS...

I have the steam version. I did use -novblank on launch opt. At first it didnt work but i figured it out by go to graphics opt and then just press space to apply, and it worked.
AA and AF dont work so far i tested.
And I like the small benchmark tool you made on Crysis Warhed, if you make for this 1 too, it would be great. :D
