Did I get lucky or is this some glitch that's been around? lol.
No, probably something with the drivers. It's not just gonna turn into a 216 model.
at least some pics please.. try an older version of gpu z (just in case you already have the lasted)
ok.. did you try and older version of gpu z ?
ps... when you bougth your card, was 192 version rigth ?
How do I get old version of gpuZ? Here is Everest result:
I think your card is the 192 version, the EVGA 216 version comes clocked slightly higher than 576 Core Clock.
Here is s/s of how my 216 appears in GPUZ and Everest
See what RivaTuner says We all know RivaTuner is the most accurate. If that also says 216, you lucked out and received a 216 model
Foes, it looks like yours says 216(v.4.0) unified also.
King-dubs, RivaTuner says 216sp
i would not be surprized if you did get a 216 packaged as a 260.
one way to make sure for certain......
owell free upgrade for you
Do you mean to open it up? I'll actually be removing the case early next week to install this:
So I could look through the inside. I would actually get a good look at the gpu, but not sure if they write stuff on it like they do with cpu's.
hehe a good start to the new year! :nerd:
yes they write stuff on it
just jot down what it says on the core, and google search it thats all
ot where in pennsy you from?
Steven I am very interested to see how that goes. Is that the MCW60-R2? I am considering getting a basic loop in my new case and that is the VGA option I have opted for. Could you keep us posted?
I'll definitely keep you posted. I have everest so I'll be able to keep track of GPU/memory/VRM temps. I plan to do a 1 hour stability test on air and log the temps. Then do it for with the wc. So I should be able to post a good comparison for you. The waterblock is the MCW60 with a GTX200 adapter plate ( http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCW60-GT200-GTX260-and-GTX280-hold-down-plate-pr-4294.html ). The heatsink is the Swiftech GTX200 Heatsink: http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-GTX200-Heatsink-pr-4325.html
ah ah.. free upgrade i say... and why not ? maybe was a mistake from factory.. there is a guy who bougth two msi ngtx260 both have indentical boxes and one of them was the OC version XD
There are post's on many forums about this happening, good for you.
your setup is similar than mine... any benchs ? i got 12765 on 3dmark06 defaults settings..
