Any idea how to force to work in games ? This is mining GPU no display port * GPU chip have laser off sense pin for detection if monitors is plugged on all ports, I know because I put all smd *( even freaking 0201) and display port on board and not worked and only after this I notice I been fooled due all data signal pins are still connected and have correct resistance values :/
Thanks for help guys, I mange find solution https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/igpu-dgpu-not-working-on-windows-11/td-p/593745 This register tweak add switchable GPU option that is present in laptops to desktop now my mining GPU work in all games.
Not dual only switchable GPU, but this setup will have for sure additional delay and can be issue in competitive FPS where 10ns can make difference I change bios Rx 6700 + UV 1.03V OC +15%TDP I gain+ 9.5% and get better fan curve with 0 rpm in idle compared to mining bios idle 1400rpm https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/95385898 I know single channel 2400mhz but this is only for some tests, I do not want risk my main rig.
This is the same term/tech now. Long ago there were laptops with true switchable graphics - with physical or software switch. Now it is a dual graphics - one dGPU to render/calculate and one iGPU to output to display.
But still I can do deep sleep on dGPU and even game on iGPU if this not demanding game, + video decoding.
Wow it really is a headless video card... that's crazy. I'd just sell it and get a proper video card this is going to be more problems than it's worth.
I already sold my old RX 5700 reference edition This new GPU give me +31% more in 3dmark + 25% more VRAM and new features. I paid only half price of used RX 6700 and in my opinion missing display output are acceptable trade off for this price difference. No issue with windows choosing correct GPU after registry hack. Also idle power is only 4W.
Have you checked behind the bracket if there's a display output? Some of these types of cards have a hidden displayport connected behind the io-bracket
No connectors and sense pin for all display outputs are fuse off on GPU die few mln ohms instead 5K I tested with borrowed GPU. Simply this GPU cannot detect display outputs, even if you put all missing SMD on PCB I know because I tried cost me time and money In theory this can be even missing bga balls under GPU subtract -but I not have proper equipment to attempt re-ball and that will be highly unlikely.
