Too many years using hype marketing strategies.

They are both (AMD & Nvidia) used to put snakes, dragons and names like Fury (twice) on their GPU boxes.

Sometimes they seems to forget that not all their customers have 14 yrs old and would like to have more features and performance and a LOT less hype and fancy GUIs for software.

The slides on videocard z look promising.

Wish they would just go ahead and release the drivers already!

The second bullet on this slide has me hype. Will be nice to not have to break HDCP every driver with the pixel patcher. Hopefully, it works like I hope it does. I love ToastyX, but it will be nice to have something official.

Saw this on Reddit, keep getting download not complete something like that. AMD look like they did a test launch on there server if the link was working but they remove it quick. here was the link before they remove it, it can be live anytime now I hope.

If you have a web server they always do a test launch on the files they going to put up to see if it's working then turn it off, that what AMD did here :(.

Oh god I hope he right because this is a big deal for us Freesync users.

Hopefully it'll be out today. Probably tomorrow morning after 12AM here for us in Australia (around 2AM or 3AM, that's when they usually come out, so in 12 hours or so).

Can't you just use CRU to create custom resolutions? how does this compare to that?

With CRU you creating resolutions which your monitor can actually do. And you can't lower pixels and such with IT so freely like with D-tool or Nvidia's custom resolutions. With Nvidia's custom resolutions you downsample higher resolution to you native. Like VSR/ DSR do. Kinda like that...

    [IMG] [IMG]

So, you can create 3200x1800 (or 4k) which will be downsample to 1080p...or whatever you native resolution is. It's a "manual mode" for DSR/ VSR and more proper...

    It's a Downsampling, baby! :D

    EDIT:

But like I said...the implementation is the question. I know that I can create atm 2720x1530 with every amd gpu below r9 280x. 1620p, 1800p unavailable for me. Will be this "limit" increased for those gpu's with Crimson release? Will see.
