    Hi Folks,

I bought a ExtremeGamer Pro sound card. Now, I need a good sound system(best bang for my bucks!) I would prefer 5.1 or more but I am open to any kind of setup. So, any suggestions to what sound system I should get? I will be using this for games and movies. Thanks for your time!

AHHHH! Dont talk to me about those G51 speakers, nothing rong with them ... just on amazone. Was gonna get them here in the UK a month or so ago from amzone (as i've got vouchers for them) and they then shot up from £79.99 to over £100 and then they havnt had them in stock since.

Maybe you should save a bit more. Shoponkyo has full HTIB's with receiver, speakers and subwoofer. For about $170 refurbed. I doubt you going to get a better deal then this.
    HEre look -> LINK

I know they are refurbed but for the price, hard to beat that.
You can find other deals to if you look around, you dont have to go this route.
One catch is you have to live in the USA for the Onkyo deals.
    Hope this helps.

I strongly recommend this one: http://www.teufel.eu/PC-Multimedia/Concept-E-Magnum.cfm

I have it myself and i can tell you: IT IS WORTH EVERY CENT!!!

It's a bit deerer then what you wanted to spend (i was in the same situation when i bought it). But i have never heard anything that comes even close to that sound in that category! I did never regret one cent that spent on it. It's by far the best piece of hardware that i ever bought.

At least over here in Germany Teufel is a big name (and a small manufacturer) when it comes to HiFi.

OMG! You bloody ignorant satans! I guess you could't even tell the difference between an excellent set of speakers and some swinging frying pan!!! :bang:

And even if they would manufacture frying pans, it would probably be the clearest sounding non stick pans in the whole damn world, man, i **** you not!!!

No, I doubt you will notice a large upgrade for the set you already have.

Maybe save a bit of money and grab a set of bookshelf speakers and a amplifier. These will give you a very large increase in sound quality over the logitech speakers. -Providing your buy a quality set.

Generally as a starter set or if you have limited funds, "PC" type speakers will do however, they can't hold a candle to a quality system meant of home theater.

A PC soundcard is a line level audio device, so it can be connected to any gear meant for home theater. Such as receviers, amplifiers processors etc.

For the money you have to invest, you are really limited in what you can do for upgrade.

For $70, you really can't get any better speakers then you have.....set of headphones...such as GRado SR80's they might give you the best sound quality for your money.

Troubel is you really don't have very much money for audio gear.
