Good god Nvida blow. New buyers MUST read this now!!!

This is a joke right?

I got a brand new 7800GTX - A64 3500+ - Abit AN8 Ultra.

1: IQ is BUTT UGLY, my X800XT pe look 100% better.

2: All games, and I do mean ALL run choppy and stutter and not smooth like my X800XT pe

3: Yes Frame rates are a bit higher with 4X AA and 8XAF @1280X1024, but only by about 10 FPS at best. Doom 3 I only get 10-15 FPS more than my ATI card at 100% max detail and settings.

4: Bench Marks are a bit higher also but only by a small amount.
2003 is only around 2500 points or so.
2005 is only by 1500 points or so.
Aqua Mark is only about 4000 points or so.

Thank god I know the guy at the computer shop I got this card from and can easily RA it for the new ATI line up.

Unless someone has a mirical tweak or fix, I can reconmend this rubbish to anyone.

So there ya have it, as far as I can see with my OWN eyes the so called mighty 7800GTX is only at best a few % better in games than the X800XT PE. OMG, the new ATI cards to come out WILL destroy Nvidia and I would not be surprised if Nvidia go shacking hands with 3Dfx.

1. NO ****! you are running at like a res that most people run at. 7800GTX is not made for that res. its made to let people play games on 1600 1200 above while using AA and AF.

4. Use the quality mode

Hey man, it's probably a problem with your setup. But anyway, don't bother posting stuff like that in an nvidia fan forum. Nobody listens to that. Now, if you were bashing at ATI...

 

put down all your scores for 3dmark properly, with the total and the score from each card

i have a slower GPU 6800 GT/@ Ultra and i get 5000 in 3dmark05 and thats with my cpu so if i had a amd 3800 or something i would get 6000 and if i had a 7800GTX @490 core and 1300 memery i would score something like 8000-9000 or there abouts, and game play would be a thousand x better than a x800xt pe

Theres not alot of fact to your arguement to be honest, if the nv cards were 100% worse IQ than ATI then they wouldnt have a business.
Also, The GTX is alot faster then the x800XT.

Theres clearly a problem with your setup - did you do a fresh install of windows since using your ati card?

CLEARLY he's more satisfied with lower resolutions, no aa/af, but when its on, he likes things nice and slow.

 

Man I would give him my 6800gt for that gtx. I would love to able to play games like halflife 2 at 1028/768 max aa/af.
