Adaware is not spyware, spyware is bad ;)
The latest version of Adaware is crap, afaik, the 1.06 version roxx. And yes, KAV is the best antivirus engine there is.

    Common sense. ;)

That will work far better than any AV or AS.

You mean Ad-Aware 2007, right? What's so bad about it? I just reinstalled my OS and decided to get the new one. I haven't used it yet, but shouldn't it be better than the old one?

I haven't tried it personally, but people who have say it's much slower. It also detects less stuff on top. I won't touch it as log as the updates are also good for 1.06

Guess I'll find out when I use it. For the most part, Spybot seems to detect a TON more stuff than Adaware ever did. I always run Adaware first, then Spybot, and almost every time Spybot comes up with 20+ spyware/malware/trojans. Adaware finds a lot of stuff, but..... IDK. I got them both so they can cover each other's butt.

I like Kaspersky Antivirus, it provides both Antivirus and Spyware protection.

Avast, home edition and it is free but not top notch, still gets the job done for over 3 years.
