Got my guy to level 9 in normal playthrough



Technically the valkyr set has higher overall stats, but i find that the deadly mist set has more useful stats. That, and suits Kratos much better imo - doesn't suit him being a golden boi.

I'm using 3900xt and it's awesome but a bit hotter than what i'd like it to be, it's the last day i'm using it before switching to 12900kf, nice 2 years with Ryzen mobos-only bugs

 

Yeah alder lake is bug free and also runs very cool i've heard.

 

Game complete - had a great time with it. Game itself 9.5/10. Pc-port 6/10. Only remarks i have on the game, is the fact that there is a whole lot of talk about odin and thor and

you even kill 2 of thor's sons, but thor never appears, and you only fight baldur?

Doesn't make sense to me.

 

I didn't mention cooling, the mobo-bugs are happening to me for the 1st time and i owned a bunch of them from intel, the one Ryzen mobo i owned from Asus happened to have power-on bugs and alt-tab out of games? never happened with Intel ever that i needed to switch off the back of the PSU for 2 minutes to get the power back on !!!

 

Sounds like unlucky buy.

I've had zero issues with X370 mobo which is first gen too.
Apart from the expected early adopter problems later sorted with BIOS updates.

But you do you.

Finished it a week ago completing 100%, after doing it on PS4 pro. Great game and great porting in my opinion.

A few celebratory ss for this title, some of them using DLDSR 2.5x (3440x1440 base resolution) + DLSS Quality (with sharpening fix).

 

Sounds silly but game was more stable for me with day one update. It was running without issues. After i updated to 1.03-04 im getting the "gpu overclock" crash sometimes. Yes the card is overclocked but stable in all games and benchmarks.

 

Someone spent alot of time with the photomode

 

Look into Windows event log if there are driver crashes. Might be the game's fault, driver's or hardware's (faulty or overclock).

 

Just tried it out, even with the slider at 0% it doesn't turn the sharpening all the way off like the mod does

 

The shot of the Council of the Valkyries is very daunting. Love it.

 

Just finished it. Technical side, I am on a notebook currently and at 1080p on high it ran pretty fine (60fps), without any crashes (4600h and rtx2060), but obviously nothing to write home about.

Other than that I really liked the game. The story is decent and the gameplay is fun. I disliked a bit the backtracking, but it's pretty common in this type of games. It gave me a bit of Darksiders 2 kinda vibe, just with more cinematics. What I wasn't much fun of were the fire and mist realms. It's basically just an arena you can endlessly farm for mats, which to me sucks and is quite low effort. Overall a decent 9/10 for me.

Thor appears right at then end when Kratos goes home. I think this was more of a build up, portraying the Norse Gods as a ****** up family rather than the Greek gods who all seemed so self righteous and perfect.

As an aside I love how you 100% percented the game after being not sure of it at the launch, but gave it a try anyway.
