The fact you can use kali to brute force proves (which I have for fun and learning) I do but what ever, use kali to learn how to protect and pen test would help them loads.

So pls stop with the pls stop lmfao

To those people thinking they can 'bypass' or 'crack' encryption, please by all means infect your machine with this ransomware, fire up your favourite encryption cracking suite and recover all your files

Please, show the world (Who can not bypass this encryption and are significantly more clued up with security related things like this than you are) how to recover files from WannaCry without paying the ransom

    Go ahead, show us

Problem is you don't understand plenty info on line just search or stick to playing your games

Start at the basics learn crypto cracking like mining bitcoin to get your head wrapped around how this all can be used to learn encryption cracking

Mass power is used using pools, the same can be applied to cracking any encryption the bigger the pool the more power faster chance of cracking heavy encryptions although its down to the experience of the coder.

All mouth and no trousers, claims to be able to crack WannaCry encryption, asked to prove it, resorts to childish insults... typical troll

Already on iggy list, not sure why I am even replying, end of /

For the people who seem to think they're pulling the wool over peoples eyes when they spew their barely literate garbage about how they're masters of the underground scene.

"You can brute force top tier encryption!"

    No, you can't.

    Regarding AES-128bit encryption:

Even assuming techniques are employed to somehow shorten the time required to brute force such a key, you're still looking at the theoretical (it can be cracked, but isn't feasible) rather than the practical.

That guy has been openly ****-posting for a long time now, I'm shocked he's still here.

you cant decrypt wannacrypt files without the key. Not with current technology and even less for less money than the ransom.

cracking CRAP encryptions which have been exposed long ago is not the same than a good up-to-date encryption

So what's next for the NHS? They're paying the ransom? And I hope they don't replace XP with 7. That would be another fail because 7 doesn't really have that long left.

Oh no chance the ransom is being paid, at best, restore from backups where you can

As for win 7, who knows, NHS trusts have their own budgets to play with so I guess some will be prioritising upgrades. The whole network is mostly on XP but some are higher already (some are lower I believe too)

Isn't encryption only working when not connected to an internet source? It doesn't protect against internet connections. If you can break through a network there is no encryption to stop data leaks.

cmon guys, cracking 128bit encryption can't be that hard, more than once on my old Commodore 64 using Final Cartridge II and Poke <adress, value> command I've "cracked" few games back then (damn you Ghost 'n' Goblins) to get unlimited lives and it was more than 30 years ago! Bet I could just put that Final Cartridge II into my PC and crack the s**t of that encryption within minutes.

I ain't talking crap, I'm serious like diarrhea lol
