For the most part, looks like anyone looking to run these new motherboards will require a new power supply too.

This generation of Gigabyte boards sucks, only PCI-e slots, there are the times when 8 was standard. I think there is plenty of space to place M.2 alongside slots.

I think it's about time to move from the ATX layout it has been way too long since Intel developed it in 1995.
I would like to see some Innovation in that area and some new standard to be introduced.
    (By AMD) AMDX Lol!
    Some examples.
Different pcb shape, location of components, I/O interface which would mean a whole new standard for component sizes, shapes and PC cases as well.
It has been over 20 years and you can still build a new pc with a case from 2000.
    Just some of my thoughts.

I'm not sure what legitimate purpose this would serve.

In my eyes, Intel have dropped down to 2nd place vs AMD in regards to CPU's and Chipsets. Until they can provide bootable M.2 NVMe RAID without a VROC key and give us 64 lanes, they'll be playing second fiddle to Ryzen for quite some time.

Did the ASRock Z390 lineup news get pulled? It says the story does not exist longer?

The question is: will these processors and motherboards support VROC?
