I currently have a Giga-Byte and I'm happy with it, but I've heard a lot of better stories of ASUS overclocking better.

I'm going to use AGP still. I have a 5900nu and it still seems ok to use; considering I only play one game.

I'm using an Asus and I love it, also had a Gigabyte and had no probs with it either buy my Asus's overclocking options were better but... I prefer the Nforce chipset over the Via so I would go for the Gigabyte.

Having to choose between asua and gigabyte is like choosing the method of your execution. :D

I am not a big fan of either..if you didn't know already.

The Ultra-939 is a great board from my few months of experience with it... Feature-packed and performs great. That and considering I don't much care for ASUS due to some past experiences, I'd go with the Gigabyte.

    Gigabyte All The Way.
the via chipsets of asus suck where Gigabyte uses the powerful and stable nforce chipsets
i have a GA K8NS Pro and it's very good,it has agp 8x slot, firewire and sata and raid usb 2.0(you can have up to 8 usb and have 2 firewire connections and 4 sata.it also has the Nforce 3 250 chipset.

Gigabyte are also cheaper than asus and offer more for the buck.asus has good video cards but Gigabyte have better mobos.
