I'd rather risk it with Asus than buy another Gigabyte board.

One x570 died on me few months ago.

Last few months every single one of GigaByte motherboards that passed trough my hands had this option (APP Center Download & Install Configuration) and it is enabled by default in their recent BIOS's, even the cheapest one, just to name a few of these:

    GigaByte A520M K Rev.1.0
    GigaByte A520M K V2 Rev.1.0
    GigaByte B450M K Rev. 1.0
    GigaByte B450M H Rev. 1.x
    GigaByte B550 GAMING X V2 Rev.1.3
    GigaByte H410M H V2 Rev1.1/Rev1.2/Rev1.3/Rev1.4/Rev1.6
    GigaByte H470M K Rev.1.0
    ...etc

Usually option APP Center Download & Install Configuration is located somwhere in BIOS submenus:
Settings -> IO Ports -> APP Center Download & Install Configuration
Peripherals -> APP Center Download & Install Configuration

Mine is in the List--Gigabyte B460M_DS3H Rev 1.0

Believe that Download option already disabled in UEFI Bios, but i'll double check again for sure in a few moments

On my previous Asus i disabled the Armory Crate crap, but on this Gigabyte i have to check if the App center is off too.

I have a Gigabyte X570S Elite AX V1.1 in another rig and I make sure it's backdoor is left wide open at ALL times.

I never used their mobo software, but always downloaded the drivers directly from mobo page.

That was a joint venture (August 2006)..."In this slow developing market environment, GIGABYTE seeks to establish an alliance with ASUSTek in order to assist the operation efficiency of GIGABYTE's motherboard business."

ASRock was originally spun off from Asus.(2002)

I ditched my x570 aorus elite because of how unstable and bad the bios were, and got an ASUS in 2021 if that tells you anything about how I wont touch Gigabyte for a long ass time.
